I only spent the first 25 years of my life there. The federal postal inspection service has a folder on my family because when I was in high school my next door neighbor was using our mailbox as a dead drop for kilos of coke while we were all out at work and school and the mailman found one. During halftime they had the midshipmen do their thing on field in their whites and I was like "oh cool". Then they came up into the stands to say hi to friends and family. I was shocked how young they looked up close and personal.

I think the hosts made me laugh even more due to the poo poo they were pointing out. "WE CAN'T BE SPREAD OUT SO MUCH" - fake cop "Does he think he's getting ambushed by the Taliban?" That was funny. Here, as far as I know, every funeral home has their own cars and they are always black sedans and have maybe orange lights on them or something. They will pull into the middle of an intersection to stop traffic sometimes but everyone is always fine with that and you just wait the 30-60 seconds or so for them to pass. They don't need like..... security. They literally provide a crossing guard service. That's it.

yeah agreed... i don't mind a short funeral procession but when it goes on for 10 minutes i get a little loving irate. especially when they send out the "advanced" team to close upcoming intersections. you are right though their commentary was funny.. i just didn't like his face or poo poo eat grin lol

My wife's parents were doubtful of my military service because I was 21 and she was 20. I'd already been in and out of the military deployed and returned by the time we met. They had the impression of A long services and B 24+ year olds fighting wars. army Infantry enlistment periods are 3 years. That isn't long at all for a military service. At least from other MOSes being 4 years or more depending on schooling requirements. People don't realize that kids fight wars unless they're directly a parent or family member or someone deployed etc. People are kinda loving dumb and imagine like y'all said older people fighting wars or "the kids stay back and the old men do the door kicking" or some nonsense.
