My problem with this statement is because it's a vague "Alex Jones antagonized this lady judge" it's like. All of them. He antagonized all of them. They were all tyrannical cyber-trolls.

He pissed off the judge in TX, but those damages were awarded by the jury and subject to a cap on punitive. He has pissed off this judge, and she gets to determine punitive damages and there is no cap :getin:

Yeah, the answer is just "yes" to whether the judge was antagonized. Bankruptcy judge? Texas district court? Connecticut superior court? Yes. He's on a quest to collect pissed off judges across the nation at every level. Pokemon, except for judicial contempt, filling his Contemptadex.

well, there's an informal quasi-cap, but it's "some reasonable multiple of compensatory damages" and therefore lol

You sparked my curiosity and it looks like 9-0 votes are actually stupidly common and make up about 40% of supreme court rulings on average.

I'm going to choose to believe that a large portion of these involve Alex Jones in some capacity.

First thing that has to happen will be the plaintiffs' lawyers filing their billing records with the court because the attorneys fees portion is a part of the punitive damages calculation.

yeah in principle the justices are supposed to get roughly equal opinions assigned, so Thomas gets the ones where he probably won't go "and furthermore, Alaska is illegal"

So what you're saying is that it's going to be long, drawn out and he's going to start freaking out at multiple points for us to savor it?

Oh and painful too? Because it's hitting Jones in his most tender area: his ego!
