Because I sit here like a jerk starting at a spinning circle because my 56k upbringing conditioned this behavior in me. There's a bunch of posts about it in the tech support thread in QCS, it's the twittter servers doing something where they serve you the first 5 seconds preloaded if you're offsite but it's been sucking poo poo recently so basically every embed does it right now. You can either click past the 5 second mark (except I've now learned that so many gifs have the moment of action exactly at 5 secs) or click through to twitter, no other solution right now. Sometimes it actually loads after the buffering, but rarely.

We ship tons of these at ups and occasionally the box/shrinkwrap/whatever gets compromised in transit and they just explode in the hub or even in the box trucks themselves Had a queen size explode open and wedge itself into a box truck, they had to bring it back to the hub to get it unstuck because those things are impossible to manually compress without like 6 people. And if it opens up in the hub, the resulting mattress has to be given to ups freight for the rest of the delivery if it's a large enough mattress because it will no longer fit in the normal hub system
