Heartbreaking: I asked my mom(she's like 70 years old) if people when she was growing up really did eat these sorts of aspic horrors and she said yes they did, all the time, and people actually liked them. I'm glad we've come to our senses as a society about encasing foods in gelatin. (I also got a fun convo about her memories of the rise of American pizza from those lovely chef boyardee kits to chains )
