I'm sure the below average performance of Cubs hitters has nothing to do with them fielding half a team of AAAA washouts and guys who weren't even good hitters in their prime. If anyone from the Cubs says these words at a press conference in regard to team priorities , I hope someone throws a shoe at them. Speed Defense More Athletic

Yeah it sucks, surgery he needs is 3-6 months just to put normal weight back on the foot, and recovery generally trends closer to the 5-6 month range. There's an absolute best case scenario where he recovers quickly with no issues and is good to go for Spring Training, but more likely he won't be back in games until May. Sucks massively for him, Canario had a pretty good shot of breaking camp with the MLB team next season.

The only positive test Sammy Sosa got hit with was the exact same "unofficial and confidential" one that got Ortiz. Sammy also never got shot around extremely fishy circumstances. Who the gently caress is not going to recognize David Ortiz in the DR? I don't believe it was a case of mistaken identity. And yet Ortiz cruises into the HoF (with 70 fewer homers) and Sammy gets snubbed.

Despite all the dingers Sammy hit, he has less bWar than Bobby Abreu which I find hilarious Sosa has 609 HRs and 58.6 bWar. That has to be one of the lowest war per dinger
