My day 1 experience with Marvel Snap:

Another player cloning Odin 3 times leading to a 5 minute cutscene on them just shooting lightning at each other forever. I thought it actually soft-locked the game

Dupe'ing in the same clone section (different game), getting a sentinel, thinking it would be funny to just fill my board up with sentinels, opponent snaps, and I win with 9 sentinels on my board and 3 more in my hand

This game rules

Amazingly, it seems like it bothers to render what card it actually is on the bottom.
I had a graphics hiccup the other day, and the low frame rate meant it did the animation a bit funny and showed me enough of it at an angle that I knew what they had pulled.

1* Yondu
2* Bucky Barnes
2* Carnage
2* Wolverine
3* Rhino
3* Sabretooth
4* Kazar

It's built around getting Nova/Bucky/Wolvie/Sabertooth out first and then having Carnage destroy them. It's decent and I get a fair share of wins, but if anyone's got feedback on how to improve it, I'm all ears!

Currently I'm hoping to unlock Venom so I can swap him in for Kazar.

Quite possibly. One of the few places that you can truly whale out is the Season Pass track, on which you can buy levels for 150G. It's not even close to worth it, though, unless you're right at the end of the season and somewhere around level 45. Then buying the last 5 levels will give you two variants and 500 credits for 250G, which is an amazing deal. But if you're going to get there by playing, don't ever buy SP levels.

I'll preface this by saying I'm at a low rank, but I'm having so much fun with a movers deck. It's pool 2 I believe. People are snapping on turn 5 like nothing I've seen with other decks.

(1) Ant Man
(1) Nightcrawler
(2) Kraven
(2) Armor
(2) Multiple Man
(2) Lizard
(3) Ironheart
(3) Doctor Strange
(3) Hulkbuster
(4) Miles Morales
(5) Spider-Woman
(6) Heimdall

Ant Man and Lizard bait stacks. Though Lizard is only useful if I don't get Multiple Man first. Occasionally, he can be relocated to get his buff.

It should be obvious what's going on once Kraven and or Multiple Man is out, but people aren't countering it at my level.

I went from 60 to 97 in about 3.5 days of focused playing at the end of the season with this deck which I am calling Mr. Handman. I’m certainly going to hit infinite this season (I got to 91, stopped, then went from 91-97 in the last 2 hours of the season so I feel like I’m on to something).

It revolves around rushing Sandman out asap and then laying down big power (Maximus, Ebony Maw, Ronan) that your opponent likely can’t match. The dream curve is Psylocke on 2, Sandman on 3, Ronan on 5, Aero or Dr. Doom on 6.

Let’s talk specifics:

Sunspot is primarily there to soak up leftover energy, I almost never feed him deliberately unless he’s under Armor. He also works as a post Sandman play since he will soak up the floated energy.

Ebony Maw and Adam Warlock are a great turn 3 combo to grab some card draw. Usually I will try and leave one slot open for a Doombot. I routinely draw my entire deck when I get these two on board.

Psylocke is here primarily to get Sandman out on 3, which I’ve found to be pretty devastating to most other game plans. If I don’t have Sandman in hand on 2, I’ll usually play any other 2 drop.

Armor is here to protect Sunspot or Ronan, depending on what read you get from your opponent.

Baron Mordo, Maximus, and Ronan are a package that make up the “Hand” part of the strategy. I think you could substitute this with Devil Dinosaur and Moon Girl.

Sandman is the star of the show and you want him out on turn 3 or 4. You can usually snap the turn you play him if you’re in the lead.

Aero was my last card :argh: but is incredibly powerful in this deck. If you have priority and you both have have an empty spot in their winning lane, you’re 99% guaranteed to win no matter what your opponent does.

Dr. Doom is a no-brainer. He gets power into closed locations and when you can only play one card putting power in all three lanes is pretty good.

America Chavez is here for turn 6 consistency. If the game has gone well on turn 6 you should have Aero, Doom and Chavez available to address whatever the board state is.

I wasn’t able to build this until I finished my collection so let’s talk substitutions. The hand package can be fudged as I mentioned above. You can also consider running Lizard (once Sandman is out his drawback turns into a buff) instead of Mordo/Maximus. You can run Spectrum instead of Dr. Doom. Magneto can work as a substitute for Aero. I haven’t tested but I think The Infinaut would work as well.

Angel and yondu are both traps. Don't play them.

Yondu only competitive use currently it to active the death card which might be a bug anyways.

Angel is only favored to active on turn 1 and 2. Angel has a 50/50 chance of being in hand by turn 3 and is more likely to be in hand after that. And the pay is just a misty knight that doesn't have Washington d.c. syngery.

Also why is Odin in there? The only reveal card you have is carnage and rhino. Rhino does nothing in 2nd activation. Carnage kills an 8 power card to gain 2 power.

You'll only draw carnage 25% of games. For that reason it's good to run dethlok for redundancy. The core of your deck should be carnage-bucky-nova-dethlok. Sabertooth and Wolverine are discard cards more than they're carnage cards, if you like them run them but it's not that strong. There are a lot of choices with what to do with the other 8 slots in pool 2 carnagebucky but I think the strongest is dino (agent 13, dino, moon girl, shangchantress, mr sinister, chavez, sentinel, and one random guy like nightcrawler). But that wouldnt be your deck.

I think if you're in MG anyways you can dino. And if you're running mg+dino you want chavez. Mr Sinister is decent with carnage and great with nova and is a good card in general. Ok I'm repeating my previous post but with more context this time.

If you play it as a 5/10, yes, you'll lose a lot. Doc Ock has three main purposes: to drag someone's combo pieces out of their hand before they're ready; to force an enormous overcommit to one lane so you can win the other two; or to win a lane that the opponent had already filled. Sometimes this will not work, because they'd played out ahead of you or just through dumb luck, but you can strategise.

Variants that produce tokens do not as yet produce variant tokens, although the tokens will share all the effects on the split. It's been discussed, particularly with regard to Mysterio.

Regarding Pool 3, I have heard that the matchmaking no longer accounts for the divide. Still, I'd probably hang on until I was near the credit cap then storm up 100+ levels at once.

It's only cause I haven't even seen Vulture yet. I think I got into pool 2 today.

You Hulkbuster or Ironheart the Multiple Man in the right side location. And clone him with Strange and Heimdall.

Kraven goes in the center location. He'll usually get at least one buff from Strange or Nightcrawler, and a big buff when Heimdall moves everyone.

Ideally, you end with the left and center full, and Multiple Man with Heimdall at the right. If you never get Kraven, at least the movers can be used to get Miles out for cheap.

Spider-woman can soften up a location before Heimdall's turn, and is clutch for improvising if Heimdall isn't drawn.

If I have Lizard or Ant-man early, but no Multiple Man, I put them right side to encourage the opponent challenging them there. Otherwise, they're either cheap filler or can be ignored. I put them in cause I tried to make a Spider theme with the cards I had.

Armor helps if locations are killing cards. Now that I think about it, locations are so important that it'd be better switching Lizard with Scarlet Witch too.

Iceman and Okoye are there as just generally good cards while pretending it's not a destruction deck T1-T2.

No 4/5 costs because this deck lives on the stupid combos and I would rather not let opponent counter them (Forge > Sinister, Bucky/Nova/Carnage T5, etc).
Chavez because I normally won't have enough cards to play out a T6 fully so always having her on T6 is good, but I also don't want to put other 6 costs because drawing one early will screw up my T1-T5.

Feeling weird on Wolverine and Morph, I generally don't play them when I get them because the other cards are better but nothing in Pool 1 seems like good replacements. Any suggestions? (I wish I had Killmonger)
