I am running this exact build, and I have lost a single game all day, 2 cubes, and that was due to a misplay (played Rocket Ruckcoon on a lane opponent had filled up). Wakandan Embassy tends to give a good bunch of power too, but between Elektra sniping a Maw or Sunspot, Bishop going in the double digits, and Squirrel Girl/Iron Fist letting me get some more points in a flooded location, it's giving me a lot of confidence, rather than "Oh I hope I draw XYZ last turn".

My highlights have been an opponent playing Hobgoblin into their own Cosmo, and someone giving me a cube turn four after I killed their Sunspot on Asgard.

It's getting harder as you go up though.

I've been wondering if Shang-Chi should be replaced by something. Because you want to play all your small cards on 6, and you really want to play Kazar and Blue Marvel on 4 and 5, most of the time Shang-Chi is just taking up space and I'd rather have a 1-drop in hand that I can actually play on 6.

So I just removed him and added Iceman and I think it's better. There's just not enough instances where playing Shang-Chi + 2 small cards on 6 wins the game.

However, since the biggest problem is getting Kazar and Blue Marvel on time, I wonder if, instead of the Iceman, another 4 (or 5) cost card could be added that could combine with either Kazar or Blue Marvel. Any ideas?

Iron Man is never bad. He's another "surprise value from all your turn 6 drops" like Bishop and Angela.

The deck is so demanding of curve that I suggest America Chavez to increase your odds of drawing Angela/Bishop/Kazar/Blue Marvel on time.

I put Kazoo aside once I hit 75 this season because Iceman can absolutely ruin it, to say nothing of Killmongering when your curve is sliced up.

This is what I ran from 75 to Infinite for this month. Being able to absolutely swing the board on turn 4-6 lead to a lot of snaps on followed by retreats on the following turn.

I'm card rank 550 and there was a surprising number of bots while I was in the 90-to-100 climb. That or people with simple names who were playing very stupidly.

I do wish there was some sort of reward after Infinite, if only some credits. Play gets weird once the card back is unlocked and there's no longer any incentive for tight play.

Motel Midnight off the hook
Man I’m having a blast again after switching to a MOVE deck. Sometimes I don’t even know how things are gonna turn out! Everyone just take a step to the left and hope for the best.

I just won a hilarious game where the middle location was “First to fill this location receives a 0-cost 6 card” and they played Antman and Sinister and snapped with confidence. But then the last card they played to fill it was Morph, and he morphed into my Deathlok, who wiped out everyone else on his side!

Then on the last turn they played Galactus and destroyed the other two locations, but guess who I had played there: Deathlok! So I won that game 5-3 haha.

My one friend was complaining that people kept retreating on her constantly.
Her deck is just a grab bag of characters she likes, not using any sort of archetype, but apparently she just keeps scaring people off.

For a while during the release I was in the 70s playing a rotating deck list of gray cards to get the cheap CL. It pushed me to 80.

A lot of this game is reading what your opponent has, and when the answer is "hosed if I know" it can cause a lot of retreats.

America is definitely an option to consider. Haven't had much issues with Iceman (especially since last turn you might have five one-drops sometimes), but if you go for the "everything on turn six" strat, Killmonger isn't actually a big issue, since usually your opponent will reveal first, hit nothing, then your ones come in.

Lost a tough game today. Opponent got two folks onto Gamma Lab, then dropped a Cosmo in, then scouted my Shang-Chi that was going to kill their Warpath with Prof X. Gave them the two cubes and some emotes, they deserved it.

She's one of the most useful cards in my Patriot deck if I get to do the full Magik->Onslaught->Mystique->Patriot combo. She survives Killmonger, can be played in locations where 1-2-3 costs can't be played and I can just leave her in my hand until the last turn and then add a surprising amount of power to a location. She's probably useless until you get Patriot though.

It's more things like "turn 3 Infinaut in the Big House" and "I will draw Mjolnir at least twice a game".

My favourite Lockjaw play was when I slapped Lockjaw + Wasp down and my opponent put Green Goblin there with prio. Wasp turned into Jubilee, which fetched Odin. Odin sent the Goblin straight back and then triggered Jubilee again to fill the lane.

Same. I’m not a beta player, I’m F2P and didn’t even sign up on day 1 of public release but I’m still in pool 3 and have got nearly 20% of the pool 3 cards. Give me a month or two and I’ll have every released card in the game. Even at the current state of earning cards I’m getting them faster than I can be bothered to put together cool decks for them.

The advice to hold on doesn't apply to the people who are still filling out Pool 3. People with complete collections should hold on to get new cards faster, people who do not will get new cards faster by leveling.

Is there a location where you don't have a card? No. So Warpath doesn't trigger.

Oh, I certainly get why it didn't work now. It's just that if a card has been in your deck for a while, you forget about certain specifics until after you have blundered headfirst into certain situations. Hence the PSA.
