Wife needed some fresh air before doing holiday family stuff, saw this walking out of a sushi shop in hellscape Texas suburbia tonight Sorry for the terrible photos I didn't realize they only made 20,000 of these and only for one year. It's a 1991 Nissan Figaro. FF convertible No idea how it ended up in Texas or why it has Belgian (?) Euro plates https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Figaro The interior looks like it rolled right out of 1950 I was really surprised to find out it was so new besides the weird 90s ricer wheels

Yeah extreme north end of Austin suburbs, like Round Rock I'm used to Dallas suburbs having 40-45mph speed limits, it crazy out here, most of the speed limits in the suburbs here are 55-60; just north of one of the Walmarts here it goes to 65 about half a mile away. Drop out of hyperspace and hang a right to go get paper towels and a jar of salsa, do a U turn and do a Kessel run to get home

So like the approaches and jumps look uncannily realistic but then they just bonk into each other with no body panels crumbling, no suspension bouncing, no glass breaking. I thought maybe steep ramps to line up the trajectory?

Figaro's are cool. Built on the Micra/March platform, so not exotic underneath, easy and cheap to run, active community for fixing what is hard to get (the bespoke head unit for example, you can get them upgraded with BT etc). The same programme (the "Pike" cars, after the factory they were built in) produced the Pao, the Be1 and the S-Cargo.

S-Cargo is still one of the best merging of name and general shape I've ever seen. (I'm saying it looks like a snail. but in a good way)

They should re-release all of those cars now. I say this because I want a Be-1 and those were apparently the rarest of the lot and consequently impossible to find.

Best version of something like that I've seen used a '66 Toronado. 400ci V8 and luxurious interior. https://www.throttlextreme.com/build-car-hauler-toronado/ Olympic Mathlete posted:Can we draw attention to the Crown on the tiny wheels and balloon tyres? and NOT the Civic??!!

(I'm saying it looks like a snail. but in a good way) For those who didn't watch the video linked after this quoted post, the S-cargo is styled/style inspired by the 2CV based "Citroen Fourgonnette" work van being known as "the tin snail" Apparently Citroen sold 50k units worth of tin snails a year, basically until they were discontinued Also, in light of roll over videos, please enjoy this Citroen Traction Avant rolling off a cliff and being driven away marketing Short. That's it I'm inspired, I'm gonna take mine for a spin down to the pub right now https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jXcDF_JIbM edit: 50k units not 100, from 1960-1982 Hadlock fucked around with this message at 20:56 on Nov 28, 2022 |

Mart is an old English dude who mostly putters with old Ford flat-head V8s in his garage. In this episode, he goes to a car show at the British Motor Museum in Gaydon. Lots of interesting cars, but the star of the show is the Jaguar XJ13. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YqG_kmHtZ4
