Would you like to play a game?

The Padres are paying $640 to Tatis and Machado and are apparently in on one of the big shortstops and trying to extend Soto.
I would much rather be paying the $640 to Tatis and Machado (even with Tatis' issues) than to Semien and Seager

Hell of a deal. How’s their farm? Are they still going to be puke next year?

Rangers pythag was quite a bit better than their record last year; there’s no reason to think they shouldn’t have a good shot at being a .500 squad next year.

Plus they added Bochy and anyone would've been better than Woodward.

The problem is that there just aren't three guys in the whole world worth devoting $90m+ of your annual payroll to. Like, there's a whole rear end example of this directly in your division.

Maldy has him beat 43-41 with 3000+ fewer PAs lol.

How quickly we Astros fans forget what an offensive black hole at catcher truly is.

He just barely beats out Alan Ashby who had 69 (nice) while playing in the cavernous Astrodome, but what the hell Castro had 71 HR as an Astro and almost 100 for his career?

Yeah. I mostly remember just 1 Brad Ausmus homer in particular. The one he hit in that legendary 18 inning NLDS game against the Braves.
