Absorbing Man just seems like a less useful Wong. The only advantage I can see him having is that you can play him on a different zone from the card he’s copying

His other advantage is that you can play him after something, rather than before it. Actually, now that I think about it, a third advantage is the fact that he can move self-affecting reveal effects to himself, like Wolfsbane or Black Panther.

Just pulled Captain Marvel. I don't think I necessarily need her for anything, but I wouldn't mind trying to build a deck with her in it. What sort of decks usually make the most of her?

Wong can be shut down by a lot more than 2 cards. He is good, but the way you have to play him makes it really easy for a ton of decks to predict and counter him, which makes snapping on him super risky.

Wong is a gigantic billboard that says "DROP YOUR COSMOS HERE!", which is a disadvantage Absorbing Man doesn't have.

gameplans that telegraph what you're doing are tough to be really successful in this game because either the opponent has the counterplay to make it unsuccessful or they don't and just retreat before you go off with it. I don't think that makes those decks bad, just that you're rarely going to pop off with the deck in the way it has potential to do so & being unpredictable or misleading instead is likely a better choice

Every new location is featured first, yeah? I don't love Lamentis as featured, but as noted it'll be great to have in regular rotation.

so if I'm still in pool 2 how good is America Chavez with the featured site? I assume you can't draw her since it's not yet turn 6, so she does a better job of deck thinning?

This is an interesting location as it kills a couple very popular cards which is actually pretty cool, I think. On the other hand it buffs to a ridiculous amount another popular card, Death. It'd be cooler if it buffed a card no one uses, though. EDIT: Death shows up in my shop lol Ubersandwich fucked around with this message at 20:06 on Dec 7, 2022 |

Right now I'm slopping it up in the rank 20s against either bots or people who just don't know what they're doing, with a part Dino/part Destroy deck that thankfully isn't getting the wrong half of its cards trashed every time lol. I guess I could shave Cable since he's a blank once Lamentis gets revealed, and Bishop too for Collector and Chavez. How do long do featured locations stay in rotation?

Just opened Electro which is cool because I've been hoping to mess around with him, but he's kind of in an awkward spot on the curve for ramp. Donating him to your opponent with Viper is pretty cute, but it means you're spending turn 4 just playing a 2-drop. I guess that sets up a 3-energy She-Hulk pretty nicely on turn 5, though? Idk, curious for any suggestions on where to slot him in

Idk, curious for any suggestions on where to slot him in Having used him a ton, look out for opportunities to have him destroyed. Like there are a few locations that murder cards. His on-reveal of +1 max energy stays intact but the ongoing "only play one card per turn" will go away. Elsewise, sometimes my turn 4 doesn't even take advantage of the extra energy but I learned "that's okay, it will still help in later turns." Sunspot, like She-Hulk, is a good pairing, as well.

Idk, curious for any suggestions on where to slot him in Once I got Destroyer I was excited to finally get to use Electro for a Spectrum/Destroyer Ongoing deck, but he was gone within a day. As nice as turn 5 Destroyer is, especially when it destroys Electro, most of the time I felt really awkward playing with him. It really would require the perfect curve of cards already sitting in my hand. So it would take certain featured locations (Death's Domain, Oscorp Tower, Warrior Falls) for me to consider trying him again. Mierenneuker fucked around with this message at 22:33 on Dec 7, 2022 |

I think I'm still missing Colleen in order to make a solid discard deck, though I've got most everyone else I believe. Running her in a Dr. Doom deck I saw on YouTube earlier today, seems to do alright though she hasn't needed to do her thing yet. Maybe once I'm out of the 20s in rank. Realized I had what I needed for an Infinacula deck too, along with a cool Dracula variant that I splurged the gold on because I liked it. It's the one with the more Traditional/Classical Dracula look, which I thought was pretty sweet. I'm still trying to hold out for Arnim Zola to finish my Black Panther deck, but Quinjet is up on the token shop right now, and I'm pretty sure my next two collector caches are going to be gold or tokens, though I wouldn't mind Death or Gambit either.

Idk, curious for any suggestions on where to slot him in I'm using him in this deck, it's built around lategame Daredevil plays so cheating out one of the 5 drops on on T4 (or being able to play Magneto on T5 as a Daredevil-informed play) feels good. Drop Vision early so you can spend t5 on Aero or Prof X, or if you don't have him in hand, T4 gives you a better chance to blind-drop Prof X than T5 usually does. I'd imagine similar top-heavy decks would like him, it lets you play an extra one of your big cards. Not sure if I'll keep him but it's felt good so far. # (1) Sunspot # (2) Daredevil # (2) Kraven # (2) Lizard # (3) Electro # (3) Killmonger # (4) Shang-Chi # (4) Enchantress # (5) Professor X # (5) Vision # (5) Aero # (6) Magneto code:
