Yep, we've been Covid free since the summer, and the flu (and Croup for my toddlers) just wrecked our house for like a month straight with serial infections. We've all got our Covid shots, but no one has flu shots. Lesson learned I guess.

Makes sense since, uh, we actually had to spend on poo poo this year. And it's not like any of the corona money was going to get replenished. My district went from "Every kid gets a free. Chromebook with LTE if they ask" to "uh... Maybe more are coming eventually?" We knew that the positions being paid for were temporary and likely stuffed at the end of the school year. That push for counselors and mental health support and poo poo. Lol. Gone.

So uh, weren't the gavinbux just supposed to drop into your bank account as long as you get your tax returns via direct deposit? I've gotten tax returns DD'd every year since I've been paying taxes in California, and they just sent me this piece of poo poo bank card in the mail with a laundry list of fees attached and a notice that now the issuing bank gets to sell all my personal info.

Certainly not worth using like a normal card given the extensive list of tacked on fees you can rack up if you try.
