It's a place I have to give more credit to the dub because Brad Swaile takes Amuro from "slightly confused" to "completely taken aback by the batshit insanity he's just heard" with a single "what?!" before they go beyond the time. So its nice that G Witch ends most episodes with Suletta going "wat" to baffling announcements.

You generally don't have actual memories before you are about 6 or 7, and most people who do have memories from before that (often starting as early as 2/3) have implicit memories i.e. they've been told about events so often that they have internalized them, rather than having an actual recollection of their own of that event.
