Oh poo poo, I hit rank 70 without even realizing it. Was trying to finish the "Win a location with 20+" power mission and was having a hell of a time, opponents kept retreating before I could get a space built up, or, it just wouldn't have worked out to where I could win the match if I went hard for the 20, so I wouldn't. I think I have every winter variant except Rogue now, hopefully I land her before the event ends.

With your deck you want to win one lane consistently up through round 4 and then surprise win another. Angela should reliably become a 6 for 2 if played this way. Thanks again for the help! I just unlocked Morbius which will let me try to get a discard deck working a little better. Also I just put this deck together. It's not amazing, but it gets the job done. # (1) Ant Man # (1) Hawkeye # (1) Quicksilver # (2) Forge # (2) Okoye # (2) Domino # (3) Ironheart # (3) Mister Fantastic # (3) Captain America # (5) Iron Man # (5) Blue Marvel # (5) Klaw Domino and Quicksilver are just there so I don't have 2 dead turns, but I'm thinking of swapping them out.

Out of my remainder it’s really just Brood I want - the rest are fine. Doom isn’t someone I’d play in my decks at the moment either. But brood? Oof.

Also I never seem to discard Apocalypse.

What happens when you send a goblin over to a wong? I was contemplating that just now when the opponent with the wong retreated. Does it just get bounced back to you?

I don't know for sure, but my guess is most cards queue up their On Reveal triggers and then execute them (see: Zola on Wong), so I would expect Green Goblin to move over to the Wong side and stay there since it's done executing its On Reveal. That being said this game does some weird stuff sometimes so who knows

If I get Hela down that's great, but there's just no way to predict how a Discard deck is gonna play in any given game. e: oh also since I don't have Hell Cow I run Moon Knight and Gambit as two of my discards and you better believe I always play them on anything that causes them to fire multiple times

No, it stays there. And I'm pretty sure that sending a Goblin over with Wong on your own side would have it jump back, just like Kamar-Taj does. I could be wrong though, haven't tested it.

Probably why a discard deck doesn't work for me at the moment is because I only have 3 cards that actually discard anything. On the subject of weird interactions, the location that doubles your cards power doesn't double the power of Hulkbuster. It does double the power of whatever card it merges with though.

I think Professor X might be a cube trap. I win a decent amount of games with him, but it's almost always causes a concede since turn 5 is when the Big Plays get made.

Walla posted:On the subject of weird interactions, the location that doubles your cards power doesn't double the power of Hulkbuster. It does double the power of whatever card it merges with though. Yeah, the Hulk Buster sequence is weird. When you play Hulk Buster its On Reveal removes it, then adds its power to and replays the other card. They really need to do an editing pass on the various keywords to make it clear what interactions are happening when you "play" a card. Studio posted:I think Professor X might be a cube trap. If you have any Turn 5 play that swings the game, you gotta snap before it comes down. Leech is probably the best example. If you want more than one Cube out of that guy, you gotta get your bet in early, cause it's unlikely the other guy is sticking around. I dunno about that, but I learned that the "first card you play here is destroyed" effect doesn't trigger on the opponent's green goblin if I already triggered it on my side. That is to say, turn 1, I played Hood and triggered the location effect. Couple turns later, they played GG as their first card on the space, he jumps over to me, but didn't die even though he was the first card my opponent played on the spot.

I think cards that switch side activate like this: Reveal: switch sides (other player takes ownership of this card) Reveal completes and card is on the other side of the table. "Played" resolves, and the owner is the other player at that time If you play a Goblin or Hobgoblin as your first "play" it probably doesn't blow up before it switches sides.
