Oh, you know how it goes, one hack writer makes him a little out-of-character for a bit, another hack writer pushes it further, and next thing you know, Kurt Busiek and George Perez are doing a 12-issue maxi-series to try and fix the whole thing But agreed, classic Beast is wonderful comics
