Are the Commanders already out on Taylor Heinicke?
I think he'd be okay if they let him be the #1 for an offseason but they seem allergic to that. He's not a world beater but he plays drat hard and makes fewer mistakes than Wentz, though I guess saying that isnt saying much. Sam Howell looked surprisingly good for only having one week of practice with the 1's and playing against the Cowboys so I have to wonder with Rivera stickin' around if he goes status quo into next year with Heinicke, Wentz, and Howell.

Belichick is gonna get himself fired sticking up for Matt Patricia. Whatever!

What team besides the Commies has less "stable" ownership than the Broncos?

The only thing we know for sure about the current Denver ownership is they have a track record of firing 100% of their head coaches in a year.

Thread, the Jaguars have now officially gone from consecutive worst records to a winning record and division championship without a single Pro Bowler or All Pro

In what world is Doug Pederson not coach of the year?

He is both greatly revered for and dragged down by simply not being Urban Meyer.

Fair or not, in a world where Urban Meyer doesn't exist. Pederson's replacing one of the biggest disasters ever and won a bad division with a team that should have been much better than it was last year.

I am not casting an opinion in any fashion, but I bet this is the thought going through people's heads who vote on this stuff when we've got a few other pretty deserving guys.

I really don't get where replacing Urban Meyer is a point against him, Pederson had to totally rebuild the team's culture in a way none of the other Coach of the Year candidates did

Oh wow a guy with 2 years worth of 1st pick talent was barely able to scrape a winning record because a pass got ruled a fumble and we're supposed to act like that's impressive?

Preemptive well if the team isn't talented why is the guy who made those picks still there?

Definitely, yeah.

0% chance the Lions trade up for a QB, I would think the Falcons wanna give Riddler a full year, don't the Seahawks kinda have to ride with Geno now?

Geno's a FA and also descended back to earth in the 2nd half of the season. Goff is... Goff, he's fine in perfect situations, but neither guy is someone you handcuff yourself to if a prospect in the draft is good enough. Also Ridder's a 3rd round pick, you're fine dumpstering him if the opportunity arises.
