Whoops, sorry! You got Onosho from Day 5.

Dead Goon posted:

I never really know what to do when someone goes kyujo, do you automatically trade for someone from my picks at the same rank, Kenning?

Day 5: I thought Aoiyama looked as if he was moving really well, and his Sumo was very good.

In the case of kyujo, you can request any appropriate trade. If the trade request comes in before the next day's bouts you get it and avoid the fusen. If you don't request a trade, you get the next person down your draft line after you eat the fusen loss. You'll be auto-traded (and dropped down the draft wire) unless you specifically request not to be traded. If you don't request a trade and your draft line is unavailable you're boned. There's more detail in this post.

You didn't request a trade, but this basically a trade inquiry, so you can get Chiyomaru from day 6. If you'd like other trades lmk and we can work it out.

So, both Hoshoryu and Wakatakakage are full. This is a weird circumstance, cause normally I would just throw the picks open to whoever in the case of kyujo, but there are so many S/K options right now. I've decided, in a break with tradition, to assign you and any remaining Takayasu players Kiribayama, who had the best score at the time Takayasu went kyujo. I hope that's satisfactory.

Now for some auto-trades. Here are the Tochinoshin auto-trades for day 6, except for Eldoop who got him Day 7 (because of a different Day 6 trade):

code:
Eldoop Ichiyamamoto
Jobbo_Fett Chiyoshoma
Liquid Communism	Kagayaki
Nativity In Black	Kotoeko
PJ Kotoeko
S.W.O.R.D. Agent	Takarafuji
sivad Chiyomaru

And here are the auto-trades for Day 7 (Takayasu and Okinoumi):

code:
Dead Goon	Kotonowaka
Eli949 Kiribayama
LlamaTrauma	Kiribayama (day 7)	Chiyomaru (day 8)
Netsky Shodai

Alright, with trading business resolved I'm going to finish filling out the spreadsheets and get you all day day 7 results. Please let me know if I missed you, I tried to double check but it's hard.

Day 8: Tobizaru with some clown sumo monkey magic to get the win, impressive leg sweep.

Shodai is officially washed from his Ozeki chance this tournament.

Hoshoryu straight up pulled a "throw the drunk out of the bar" on Sadanoumi. I need to get a good screenshot of Hosho's face just after the match too, it'd be a perfect emote somewhere.

Takakeisho with the slappatoshi win, still tied for the lead. A good day.

Day 8: If I'm Nishikifuji, that's a loss I'm still proud of. Toe to toe with the cannonball for that long, that was just a fight.

Edit: if you're following juryo, Asanoyama is currently undefeated at J12. What the hell happens if he pulls the zensho yusho? They can't promote from 12, can they?

I think Takakeisho is doing an excellent job of displaying why he deserves the rope. Every match he goes into you just expect him to win, and he keeps proving that expectation right, even when he isn't bowling people out of the dohyo in seconds.

Agreed. I always thought he was a good ozeki but this is the first time I've thought he looked like a yokozuna. Ironically it's because people are putting up more of a fight and he's showing that he can pivot to winning another way after the cannon shot fails.
