there's no way in hell she'll be as good as Jack, but Forspoken reminds me a lot of SoP in its singular devotion to being weird as gently caress, maybe just higher budget, and the combat/traversal looks great. interested to see which parts of the game ship completely half-baked

My favourite thing is that a cuff is an awkward and unnatural item of clothing to begin with. But as far as I can tell all the avengers quips in this are like “woah, my cuff TALKS” whereas I’d just be like what you want me to wear a single cuff? Is that even a legit item of clothing? I’ve never been getting dressed and been like oi where’s me cuff guv

Probably the single most un-selfaware thing about Forspoken to me is the fact that the devs added an option to mute the main characters banter and didn't think "Maybe this is a sign that our dialogue is obnoxious as gently caress"

It’s why the options in there. Someone will have bet on the wrong comedy horse like 4 years ago and they’ll have been stuck with it ever since. As a rule of thumb, if you’re aware of something that sucks about a game, the developers of that game are aware too only they can’t do anything about it and it’s also keeping them awake at night
