You can slide out oven racks to remove things from a hot oven. I of course knew that you can move them around to different heights, but I always assumed that they'd fall if you tried to slide them out with any weight on them.

Metric sockets still use SAE drive sizes. I'd never really thought about it. I've worked on vehicles all my life, and work in theater. I've been sent out of the US with shows and taken in foreign shows and even have a couple of ratchet head drift pins given to me by a show from England and it never really dawned on me.

I think they mean the shaft that fits into the socket aka as the drive is still 3/8" , 1/2" , 3/4" even though the socket is in mm (metric)
