For mostly military aviation I like these two: https://www.youtube.com/@EdNashsMilitaryMatters https://www.youtube.com/@RexsHangar Ed Nash will go into extreme detail on a supercharger. Not superchargers, a specific one on a specific engine. Very good for gearheads.

I’m told 74Gear is a twat, and his attitude towards people pursuing aviation careers later in life makes me inclined to think it’s true. I’ve watched some of his stuff and it’s not terrible, but do take what he says with a grain of salt.

https://youtube.com/@pilot_obet7815 Pilot_obet has a good YouTube channel, he's a Captain on Cathay Cargo's 747s. He does lots of little videos explaining various parts of flying, the 747, simulator training, really anything people ask him to see. He's also active on Instagram, and takes the time to congratulate student pilots if they tag him.

The winter-related forced pause on flying is ending here. Last week I had my upset recovery training. We were doing close to 4G in our failed looping attempt afterwards. Really quite a unique feeling. Got a little queasy but I kind of want more

Greg’s a pretty nerdy dude but he has some great videos that delve into the differences things like supercharging versus turbocharging of piston aircraft, which side had what octane fuel available, etc. quotes and shows a lot of aircraft manuals for the time too. https://youtu.be/iOi0o91Sw7U Just an example

I just had to resign myself to getting an Instagram acct for a specific reason (I'll cancel it once its done) followed him and discovered he does like posting photos of himself though. I think he actually adressed it once in a video. When you meet him somewhere in an airport, he's likely at work and not really in the mood or in the position to do more than just say 'hi', and quite likely pretty tired after a shift. It's possible that i/we don't know things that others know, but i reckon there's a significant chance that someone got told to quit following him in the airport/quit trying to get his attention and he had to be bitchy to get some fanboy to leave him alone. Youtube fanboys can be a hassle to deal with...

Uh this worked out ok last time so I'll try again Looking for a flight going round trip from CLT to ICN in early April, but specifically on a 747, since I've never flown on one. Slightly flexible on dates and times. Only one leg needs to be on a 747 Thoughts?

So it’s naturally a while off as they apparently just started flying Super Hornets recently, but what would be the next logical plane for the Blue Angels? Navy spec F-35?

There's also a chance on KAL that you might be flying the *last* commercial 747 built for passenger use, HL7644. Going by plane spotters, it seems it pulls more duty flying between Korea and China, but it has been spotted at LAX.

They retired 007. Fun fact! My mother was a booking agent for Korean at the time, and she had taken a few days off to get married. She had no idea the flight was shot down.
