The series of tweets is pretending none of these are the case, and then closes off with a poll of musical acts that were not performed by Elton John, falsely attributed to him. It is probably not that comedic in a vacuum, but I assume the actual joke is the replies it baited, and it falls flat if you're not into those.

The Princess Diana joke was amazing because she's written Wonder Woman, an Amazon Princess named Diana. Previous claims she's made "The British all make tea by microwaving it," and "Punisher would be prettier if he smiled more." I think part of her motivation is she'll write completely honest things about comic book characters she wrote wildly popular runs of, and some rando will try and explain to her why she's wrong.
