That documentary is killing me because it’s widescreen and so they cropped off the top quarter of the onboards and it’s just grey track left. (Or maybe that’s to stop copyright strikes, but do not like.)

The RBR was slightly faster in qualifying trim, the MB better in races. I’d argue too the Honda had better drivability and didn’t have a significant power drop off as they aged, unlike the Mercedes-Benz motors seemed to suffer from.

The track was drying quickly and everyone knew that even despite the chaos in the pits, it would be better to change tires and take a pitlane start so you’d be on the right tires and not have to take a green flag pit stop. Lewis was the only driver that didn’t do this and quickly got swallowed by the field and had to pit. (It may have been going from wet>intermediate and not imternediate>dry, I forget)
