You really shouldn't hold the fact that they've been abandoned by a society that has no use for them against them. Most of the people living on the street there don't want to be but have precious few options otherwise, and I say this as someone who worked in the area for many years. I’m so tired of cities hoovering in money for non-profits that do little to nothing.
