They have always given points for sprint races? So you can get more points at whatever tracks the FIA arbitrarily decides we should do a sprint race at? This is all so dumb.

2014 was the first full season I watched, and I assumed double-points for the last race was the norm. A dumb idea, for sure, but it also would have changed several championships for the better.

i retract my statement. 100 years of fixing lovely cars with nothing but Riesling, brie and some straw have prepared them to fix a burned out F1 car in 3 hours.
