Nothing But Trouble came out in the wrong decade or something. I went back and read contemporary reviews for it recently because I had always loved seeing it as a kid and had no idea it was completely reviled upon release; seriously movie reviewers could not wrap their brains around the idea that something might be absurd for the sake of absurdity. And nobody seemed to give the movie credit for having all-time magnificent concepts like "The Bonestripper" with its accompanying glam metal theme song. Is it as good as Naked Gun or Airplane or one of the other movies along those lines that critics actually loved? Oh hell no, but it was like 75% plot 25% absurdity instead of the 75% absurdity 25% plot like they want I guess
