my grandpa is old as hell and every time I see him he's happy and funny as heck. we go for walks and he tells me all about nature and his exploits. he works out, watches factual documentaries, and at most reads the paper in terms of news. meanwhile i see my parents once every odd year and within minutes they say something insanely stupid or racist, completely out of nowhere. it's like they've completely lost the ability to bond or communicate and its just grievances, coming from the luckiest generation in history
