I have enough, and Thanos was in my shop, but I'm gonna wait for High Evolutionary. If he's broken out of the gate I'd like to get a chance to use him before he gets nerfed or everyone figures out how to counter him/puts Luke Cage into every deck.

I still to this day don't get why they buffed enchantress. Control cards should be played at the cost of being weak cards if they don't connect. If anything she should be the same stat line as shang chi

They buffed her because successfully connecting her with a Devil Dino still left you with only +1 power, that's not a good return on a signpost connect, let alone a whiff.

I wouldn't get a card on day 1, because you can't tell if a card is good before it has actually been played.

High Evolutionary seems interesting to play and could be very good, but maybe he's poo poo?

Why is dino your only metric here? It effectively kills darkhawk morbius and mystique and maybe some others I'm not thinking of not to mention the obvious neutering of the ones that do other things that aren't power based. Dino is 5 energy so you're winning on value there. Granted she has way fewer potential targets to hit compared to shang chi but I felt 4/4 was appropriate

For the record I think shang chi should be a 4/1 or 4/0 so he's either a dead card in hand or 4/9+

They said in the patch notes when they buffed Enchantress that even in meta stuffed with critical ongoings, her win and play rate were bad. If a specialist answer card is still sucking in a target-rich environment, buffing it makes sense.

Edit: having tech cards in a small deck card game be completely dead without a target is awful.

I hate that I love this game. I seriously don't know how I'm getting beaten this badly over.. and over.. and over.. and over again. I curbstomped so many people to get to the 60's from the 40's and now its just loss after loss. It's absolutely maddening. What the gently caress is happening?

Once you make it into the higher brackets, even the best decks lose/retreat more than 40% of the time. Some bad matchups and bad draws are unwinnable, so A) retreat a lot, B) figure out what your good matchups are and snap when you can

Is anything in particular beating you too much? Discard? Destroy? Patriot?

Random garbage seems to beat me lately. Like a non-Hela Discard deck just happened to pack an Infininaut for Drac to discard, the only thing that could have possibly overpowered me in that location. One game they Zola'd a Venom and it just got enormous.. The only one that stands out is Darkhawk/Mystique decks. I have counters but I never have them in time. I don't know, its like every deck I face is designed to counter me in some way, like they have some magical foresight that I don't into what's going where and they know exactly how to counter it before I play. I was doing really good with a Sera-Surfer rebuild to get this far and it just seems to fail constantly now, so I've got a Nebula Discard I was using for a while that's failing me too.. My old DinoJet won a few games this morning but it fell off, now I'm trying some Attuma-ProfX deck a random YouTuber was running out of desperation.

well lads, I've done it. I'm officially Series 3 Complete upon unlocking Psylocke. CL3706. feels kinda cool, though definitely a little lackluster. It is cool that when I do netdeck I can make most decks (just need Jeff...). Also picked up Iron Lad last night on a whim and it kinda revitalized my enjoyment of the game, which is great.

What is the etiquette now that I'm S3 complete? I will probably hoard reserves until next week because I *think* Series Drop will happen then and I'm about ~16 cards past my last S4. Is it basically hoard until there's something? or open at my own leisure?

also, re: High Evolutionary, I can see him being stupidly good-almost-OP or just solid, but I don't think he will be bad at all

The meta changed dramatically between the sandman/leech nerf and now. People say "best most open meta ever" for some reason but you better be slamming 25 points turn 6. Sera does this, blackbolt/stature goodstuff does this (through wave which is why it's the top deck), moon girl she hulk does this, deathwave does this, hela can do it, patriot can do it. Perhaps use Venom and Carnage instead of Venom and Deathlok? I'd personally go for the two lower cost guys, but then, Deathlok is a nice turn 3 play to an empty location, too, especially since Venom can be played after him for maximum benefit. Maybe just ignore what I said about Okoye and toss Forge in favor of Carnage.

Edit: Carnage is too useful for clearing squirrels, ninjas, rocks, and raptors

Speaking of which. I played like 6 hours of Shuri piles today and that card is now fair and balanced and 100% still slaps.

My favorite current version is the wwlos one that got featured in the snap.fan meta report as being an up and comer.

Sorry I can't link it, but it's the one that plays psylocke to either do Shuri things when you draw Shuri or play Psylocke on 3 when you don't to go 5 drop, into 5 drop, into a 5 drop and a one 1 drop on six. Preferably a 1 drop named stature.

It's a reasonable deck that performed very well for me this morning.

Wwlos gave the simplest instructions, "pick two lanes and win those lanes."
