The joke only works if you already know how French spelling works, so I'm assuming that was where it started.

I don't want to engage in too much stereotyping, but I don't think Freepers are the "make a joke based around everyone speaking a little French"-type.

Then once you have people saying /taʀʒe/ it can wander.

I like DeSantis, but I believe that he should let Trump have a clear shot at this again. Trump deserves it after all he's done to fight against the Washington establishment of both parties.

It sort of surprises me that DeSantis would take on Trump now. Perhaps he's been told by insiders that Trump will not be able to run because the establishment is convinced they can take him out this time. I have no idea what that could be, but after Strzok's insurance policy failed to work in 2016, I would imagine that they are determined to stop him once and for all. So much that they won't even rely on election fraud- too many variables.

The term “controlled” opposition has come into usage to describe Fox News which is the main propaganda organ of the Evil Media Empire of Aussie born globalist billionaire Rupert Murdoch.

I don’t think the term is fair.

I don’t see the “opposition” part.

What Fox News has become over time, is the straw man, the boogey man, or the whipping boy of the true believing Marxist Democrats.

And hence, there are patriots who saw our Marxist enemy attacking Fox News and who with good intention defended Fox News.

Sadly there are still good folk defending Fox News even after its true anti-nationalist leanings were fully revealed when Murdoch and his boy Paul Ryan fired Tucker Carlson.

The history is clear.

Fox News tried as hard as it could during the first Republican primary debate of 2015 to take down the nationalist Trump and founder of the America First movement before his campaign could take hold.

Review the tapes.

It was an ambush not just by Me-again Kelly, but the Little Fella, Bret Baier, and Mike Wallace’s dolt son.

Some take the charitable view and feel Fox News was on Trump’s side and only turned on him when they made the early call on Arizona in the 2020 steal.

That take is not an accurate take.

Fox News used Trump just as Trump used Fox News.

There was NEVER any real love between the two.

It is now understood that Trump’s supporters are no longer the majority of Fox’s greatly diminished audience after the Tucker Carlson firing.

Don’t be fooled.

Both FNC and the “new” Twitter folk would like you to believe they are in “competition”.

They are no more in “competition” than there are two distinct political parties in mighty opposition.

Follow the money.

Musk and Murdoch are backing the same boy.

Billionaires who own big media are nearly an elite unto themselves.

If you know your Shakespeare, then you see Musk as Puck.

He enjoys stirring the pot for his own amusement.

He believes in nothing greater than himself.

Musk is just playing.

Musk can never be trusted.

He did Our Republic a solid by EXPOSING that Twitter before he bought it was nothing but a Deep State tool.

But don’t let that ONE good work cloud your judgment.

If Musk follows through and donates the 24 million to the Deep State front man as he has publicly indicated that he was going to, then the “New” Twitter is the “Old” Twitter with some new faces.

Don’t ever hitch your wagon to the Twitter starship of Elon Musk, who is no more than a modern day Puck.

There has not been two distinct parties in mighty opposition for a very long time.

The media marketplace was never really free and open marketplace either in economically or intellectually.

There is only one party in America which is the Uniparty.

The is only one media entity in America which is Elite Stream Media.

Both the Uniparty and Elite Stream Media are united in their hatred of Trump and will do anything to take him down.

Why do the hate Trump?

He is a nationalist and TRULY believes in putting America first which means among many things having a country with BORDERS.

This little ‘feud’ between Fox News and Twitter is nothing more than a little show for the sheeple’s amusement.

It’s all for show, they are on the same team.

DeSantis opposed the lockdowns, even after Trump released the "two weeks to flatten the curve" plan.

After those two weeks were over, and Trump wanted to extend the lockdown guidelines indefinitely, Trump personally called DeSantis, and convinced him to at least partially shutdown. DeSantis reluctantly agreed, albeit not to the full level Trump's guidelines recommended.

He or his team didn’t do their homework on who these CDC\NIAD, etc. characters were. I would have had full dossiers in front of me before the very first meeting! Particularly when I am dealing with a subject that I only have layman’s knowledge of! He gave me the impression at times was just ‘winging it’ & all could be solved with just the right amount of PR. If the germaphobia claims are correct the subject may have just scared him. He left it all to the ‘government experts’! But didn’t bother to see who his experts actually were! As they saying, goes ‘he e’ffed up, he trusted them!’. He should admit that to himself and move on Above all there is no need to continue to wrap his arms around it and imply it was the greatest national program since the Manhattan Project.

No excuse for the two week shutdown.
President Trump, being a germophobe, was obviously cowed by Fauci and the CDC medical community and went along with that idiotic measure. President Trump is not a doctor, nor a scientist, and he had to go along with the advice provided by the 'experts'. Too bad all of his 'experts' were Big State toadies who wanted to do everything in their power to get President Trump out of office. Thus the mandated mail-in ballots, and subsequent industrial strength voter fraud.
But the yearlong (or longer) shutdown, and Vax mandates were the responsibility of the Governors. We are supposed to be a Constitutional Republic (although I know that ship sailed away long ago), and the States had that authority to implement the job destroying, life suffocating, policies. Thank Gavin Newsome, and the other Lib Governors for that insanity.
Two weeks was President Trump's fault, the rest belong to the Dems and Media.

This is - and always has been - a bogus charge against Trump.

In the first weeks of the planDemic, when everyone thought it was a real pandemic, we all based our decisions on worse case scenarios, because that’s the prudent thing to do.

Obviously, the Left was going to try and turn it into Trump’s Katrina, so he had to walk a fine line so as not to fall into their traps. Deploying Fauci was a way to show the American people he was taking this unknown threat seriously, to quell the fear.

But very early on, as it became obvious the whole thing was a PR stunt with cooked-up fatalities that were impossible to verify - President Trump was one of the first to urge people to go back to normal.

He never wore a mask.
He never approved of the shutdowns (except shutting down Chinese flights to the US).
He took the “vaccine” before it was known to be fake, it he never advocated forcing people to take it.

President Trump has nothing to apologize for regarding his Covid response.

WRONG.

Fauci, Birx and others were already there.

Cabinet appointments required Senate approval. Trump’s hands were tied.

Scaramucci was fired, not directly hired by President Trump. Out of thousands of hires, Trump chose directly a small number like Steve Bannon, Dr. Peter Navarro, Dr. Atlas.

Pence was OK, quiet, low profile, until weekend before Jan 6 when his Chief of Staff Marc Short brought in Swamp Attorneys to turn Pence against Trump based on lies.

The Swamp was and is full of traitors including in the military ranks. Nothing like this has happened in US history. The infiltration was run full bore during eight years of Marxist Obama.

Follow Col. John Mills (Ret.) to grasp the depth and breadth of the infiltration.

Trump walked into a den of vipers with one hand tied behind his back.

If you weren't born here, it's pretty rich of YOU to tell ME to leave. The point still remains, DeSantis signed an executive order to CLOSE the beaches. It doesn't matter if it was two Counties or all Counties. He did it and he urged County leaders to do it, too. Not admitting to it is rewriting history.

How was any previous President to know?

Try learning how hard it is to fire a tenured federal employee. You’re probably one yourself.

Trump has said one of the first things he will do when he’s back in the White House is go after all the Fed worker protections that allow them to suck on the federal teat for decades without providing service that is meaningful.

Let’s see, a quarter million govt lazy a$$holes on the payroll funded by taxpayers but let’s criticize Trump for the crap they put out!

The pandemic is the DeSantis camp’s favorite issue because it’s the easiest one for them to lie about. Most people don’t remember all the details of who mandated what, or who supported what policy. They just remember it was a tumultuous, dark time for the country and that it happened under Trump’s watch. Blaming Trump for all its ills is an easy sell to people who don’t want to bother wading through the actual details.

The CCP is probably smiling as they watch Covid revisionism being used to take out Trump a second time.

The GOPe spent the last 2 years creating the myth of DeSantis’s flawless handling of Covid, and all done so they can use it as their main line of attack against Trump. DeSantis has nothing else to run on.

Trumps greatest achievement was on tariffs, and trade. And energy policy. Gas was 2.00 a gallon and the economy was in relatively good shape. He absolutely blew it in March 2020. It not his fault people got the Chinese virus. It’s China’s fault. But the policy to shutdown the country is his fault. It created a catastrophic collapse with no equal. From paying people not to work to idiotic unscientific mask mandates to mail in voting. To essential workers to non sense front line workers. Nurses doing well choreographed dance routines on tik tok. All of it. I’m livid the way I was treated by my government. Trumps government. My state government. My social security number was used fraudulently collect over 25000$ in unemployment benefits. Caused by fraudulent PPP loans, authoritied by Trump. Not to even mention the whole vaccines that were useless. The strife it caused in my family. In my work. I’ll never forget. I’ll never forgive.

Peace and Prosperity are relative terms... As for the Supreme Court... That was the most important and lasting legacy that Trump can rightfully claim as a success... Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s stubborn wish to be replaced by Hillary instead of Obama also helped out... If she had left during Obama’s term, things would be very different. Ironically, we have her to thank for a more conservative Supreme Court.

We have an old tradition in Texas of very corrupt politicians. Everyone of those aholes who voted to impeach Paxton is just as much of a crook. Paxton’s unique crime is that he was going up against pharma. That was the final line he crossed and I’m sure a LOT of money was “given” out to remove him.

I could not care less what back-room deals he engaged in - that activity has been part of Texas politics forever, and the good ol' boys club is alive and well (and by the way Paxton beat every suit that was brought, as far as I know).

I don't seem to be alone in this as he was re-elected by a large margin - and the allegations were out there then.

I am a Texan slightly to the right of Attila the Hun (as Rush would have said — I miss Rush. RIP.)

But I very much think that Paxton is corrupt to the core. There has been so much stink on him for all of these years, but he has enough friends in Collin County (north of Dallas) to have kept the heat from all the smoke away from him.

The stuff with the “real estate investor” (the guy’s name is Nate Paul) is allegedly just as shady as it comes. I’m going to use the word allegedly a lot! He has been allegedly associated with Mexican drug cartel money. He’s allegedly defrauded his investors in his real estate projects. He’s allegedly perjured himself before Travis County judges and federal bankruptcy judges related to foreclosure proceedings. He is allegedly the target of some serious FBI investigations (I know, I am as suspicious of the FBI as any of you!) related to the above allegations. The word I’ve heard in Texas is that whole objective of this impeachment exercise is to get the R’s out in front before a very big scandal hits.

In a word, "yes." If you normalize something in society, especially something insane, it will come back around to bite you in the @$$.

Witnessed the progression of Nazi ideology through Germany. It started out by accepting bad premises regarding Jews and other ideas, and it incrementally evolved into the horrors it turned out to be.

About a decade ago, I got into an argument with a lawyer type on another website in which I suggested that if things kept going the way they are going, homosexual activities will become compulsory.

He said I was a nut. Later that week there were three news articles involving compulsory homosexual behavior.

There was a school having their students do "same sex kissing." There was another school having a "Dress as a member of the opposite sex day", and there was another story of which I have forgotten the exact details, but it was also a story about compelled homosexual behavior.

That guy later commented on one such article, "I may have to apologize to that nut."

So yeah, if you participate in it, it's gonna rub off on you.

This an interesting and strangely believe it, personal question.

Decades ago, I was a Jaycee. I served on the board even for one year. One of my beer drinking, board member friends made it known that he was leaving his wife and two kids and was really a woman. His male name was feminized. He ( she)continued to sell auto insurance and was quite successful as a business person.

Down the road she became associated with a real woman who in fact also had several children.

As adults my former Jaycee friend set them all up in small businesses. Stranger even was her mother in law, grand mother of the kids. She became a regular on the TV ads of the three or four small family businesses. Collectively, they were apparent business successes

I’m not sure what he/she actually did for his own two kids. He/She was very successful business person and had means.

I continued to maintain my auto insurance and once in a while actually met with him/her to discuss the issues. I continued to address him as Rick rather than Rikki and he did not bat an eye or take offense

I used to hear that when I moved into a south Philly neighborhood whenever someone wanted to trespass or impinge on the rights of others — “Yo, I wuz born’n’raised here!”

Back to the topic at hand, conservatives have tried to warn others when they have reached the “bridge too far” for decades — since WW2, in my understanding, only to be called bigots, racists, etc. Every movement has a “tipping point” when common decency and humane tolerance suddenly becomes government compulsion.

During the Bill Clinton era, thirty states passed laws upholding marriage between a man and a woman, only to have rogue judges overturn their duly legislated laws. Now look twenty+ years later: little kids being indoctrinated in K-12 that they can cut their private parts off and be something they are not; teachers keeping secrets from parents about their kids “transing” in school; California passing laws making it illegal for parents to voice objections to their kid participating in this insanity (but they still have to house, clothe, feed and maintain their child).

You may not see where lib-prog virtue signalling about social acceptance of trans impersonators may be leading, but others do.

Do you think it’s going to rub off on you?
