i caved and splurged on silver wolf banner and got her 72/90. so now my account's identity is starting to coalesce as an enabler account with my two 5 stars being bronya and silverwolf. i guess now i just save up for big dick hard carry options?

I've decided on a couple of teams and I really like how they work. Team 1: Fireblazer, Dan Heng, Welt, Asta Team 2: March 7, Serval, Herta, Natasha Alternates: Quinque and Tingyun Welt really makes Dan Heng shine, and the combination of Serval and March means Herta pops off hard. And Tingyun is great support for Quinque since it lessens her reliance on rng. More importantly, these teams are fun.

I'm currently working on team 2 (clara/march/dan heng/asta) but I'll probably drop asta as soon as I get a better support or healer. Also: I finally got the science quiz daily missions, hooray!!!!

I accidently rolled 20x on the weapon banner before realizing it while meaning to roll on the character banner. I guess it is closer to pity now, but I still want those rolls back.

I am a slow learner when it comes to the gacha, but one thing I learned from Genshin after incredible amounts of waste is "never, ever roll on the weapon banner." Unless you're budgeting hundreds of dollars per month to the game, I guess. This goes double for Star Rail where there are numerous free 5* weapons. Which all goes to say, I am sorry for your loss.

I wouldn't do it unless it's for a main carry, but the first weapon is generally going to be a better investment for damage than chasing character eidolons. For a fully F2P player, it's probably not worth it, but if you're getting the BP/express pass, it should be something you at least consider if you're looking to chase dupes on a character. Yeah I assume dabbling in light cones is probably optimal but I have a hard time seeing myself doing it. It's one of those things where yeah I'd probably get more jade in memory of chaos in the long run if I did it, but it would take an awful lot of that to make up for blowing the jade on the light cones to start with, so I'll just grab cool characters instead. And if falling behind the meta ever feels bad, falling back to just story content so meta doesn't matter is always an option too.

There's also the fact that pressing the warp button defaults to character banner. Thinking on it, I do agree, however, that there could stand to be a "You are rolling on the (Standard/Light Cone/Event Character) banner, confirm y/n?"

i used consumables when going through story content for the first time and sometimes when i remember that one of the echoes freezes you pretty regularly i could see them being more useful in theoretical dungeon-crawling content where you can't just zip to a waypoint and get healed to full
