I installed a hardwood flor once and we were shitfaced doing it. Those big thick spikes we had to use were a loving bitch to try and straight out if you cock it up. Pretty sure we went through at least 4 drillbits being morons. Also very sure I tackled a 13 year old boy to the ground because he hit me across the back with something while I was using a table saw. His Dad laughed.

I did a bunch of laminate and engineered veneer at my last house and both of those locked together real easy putting them down you didn't even really need to tap them at all to get them to seat but this LVP since its so thin the click lock type mechanism is really small and tight and you gotta bang the poo poo out of every single one to get them to seat. Main reasons it has taken so goddamn long are: 1. I'm still hosed up from my broken neck from the car accident so I can't work on it more than 2 hours a day or so or I'm crippled the next day 2. It's a lotta floor like 1200 square feet plus a lot of stupid nooks and crannies and doors and poo poo that you've got to do a lot of cuts to account for 3. There's so much furniture and my squat rack and all kinds of poo poo all over that you gotta move 4000 pounds of furniture and then do 1/3 of a room and then move the furniture onto the floor you just laid and do the middle 1/3 of the room, etc. So far I'm pretty happy with the floor though, I did some measuring and poo poo and it seemed like the concrete foundation was flat and level enough it didn't need self leveler or something put on it (which woulda been a real shitshow to do given #3 above) and it seems like my gamble is going to pay off, the first parts of the floor installed was like 4 months ago or something so we've been walking on it all that time and doesn't seem to be pulling apart or getting crunchy or anything.

I'm actually on Vancouver Island aka the place that's a huge pain in the rear end to leave. I just did a trip around there over two days. I partied with some locals in Ocean Shores last night. I was looking for the Ocean Shores Ocean Whores but since it's off season I guess they aren't out yet.  Like $3 beers or something crazy cheap.
