It's fascinating to see how much an artist's sensibilities can change the timing sensibilities of a script; both of these examples below are from the same writer:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures #5
Story: Stephen Murphy (under the pseudonym "Dean Clarrain") and Ryan Brown
Script: "Dean Clarrain"
Pencils: Ken Mitchroney
Inks: Dave Garcia
Letters: Gary Fields
Colors: Barry Grossman

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures #7
Story: "Dean Clarrain" and Ryan Brown
Script: "Dean Clarrain"
Pencils: Jim Lawson
Inks/Letters: Gary Fields
Colors: Barry Grossman

The sheer contrast of how things smoothly flow when Mitchroney is on art vs how stilted everything feels with Lawson on art.

Oh drat, this was one of the comics i had when i was about 2 or 3,what a blast from the past.

Man, that comic got weird, though. Like, the time-and-space-traveling giant cow head wasn't even the high point.

Most people in the US - and absolutely everyone in Europe - have heard about Carl Barks and Don Rosa, but there are quite a lot of other good Donald Duck artists working in Europe. One of my personal favorites is Giovan Battista Carpi, who is particularly well-known for his literary adaptations. His classic Donald Duck adaptations of Les Misérables and War and Peace are being published in English just a few months from now.

Look at these gorgeous splash pages and full-page panels:

All-Rounder Meguru, by Hiroki Endo

Posting this here because I love the way Endo sells women’s muscularity and power by focusing on their backs and shoulders. A lot of artists I see focus on abs and biceps when they try to draw strong women and there’s something about drawing strong backs that is both refreshing and shows a strong attention to anatomy

This isn't truly bad art or anything, but would it kill artists to look up Canadian geography? It's not all the rocky mountains (as much as I wish it was).

Logan allegedly grew up in northeastern Alberta. So did I. There were no mountains.

Windsor is a moderately-sized city directly across the river from Detroit. I went to graduate school there. I'm not even sure there were any hills.
