Floating storage/beacon/Mobile vehicle bay etc. It didn't seem to like the new slots and gets stuck. Works perfectly fine for any tools though.

Careful with the cyclops docking mod. If you are near a cliff and the auto park kicks in, it can freeze your game. I lost a lot of progress due to that.

The only mod I grabbed was the crafting one that can pull from nearby storage because I hate inventory management. So far this is a more enjoyable playthrough but I'm still a bit annoyed by my inability to form a mental map of the place. And also all of the other survivors keep getting eaten before I can reach them, but that's probably ok because I can't seem to kill anything with this knife. I think I'm going to spend more time collecting raw mats around the survival pod and stuffing them in lockers. Then I'll start poking around the two new locations.

Your character was unconscious for about 3 hours after the panel hit them on the head. A LOT happened during that time. Some of those broadcasts are a little old. Also, beacons will save your rear end and sanity, with regards to the whole mapping thing. Make many, use many.

I am an audio person, and yes, your complaints are valid (wonderful video otherwise OP, btw!). Honestly, I wouldn't even bother with sidechaining/ducking; I'd just bring the music down maybe 3db. You're very close, but it is a bit hard to hear your voice. You could also mess around with a compressor on your vocal track, so the quiet parts match the louder parts better, but with the music down a bit, that might not be necessary.

Just wandered back into this thread after a while and noticed there was an update, hankering for another playthrough now. There hasn't been much chatter in here since December about VR, do the mods that make the VR experience better play nice with 2.0 ? Thinking of making my 3rd time VR only

In general the new mod structure is using the BepInEx mod structure rather than then old QMod manager. So just make sure whatever mod you choose has that as a requirement and you should be good. I'd say they should make it able to take voice dictation to name it but then you'd have beacons likely named "Home base no I'm talking to the game don't worry about it Subnautica it's the scary water game with the reaper yeah in vr it's insane no I don't think you'd like it poo poo this was recording the whole time."
