I don’t have cute pictures of my dog at the moment, he’s high on my poo poo list after slipping past my ankle out the door and nearly murdering the neighbor’s cat, little bastard cost me a $360 vet bill to make sure it wasn’t physically hurt. BUT I went to the baby goat farm yesterday, where they also have barn cats which had 5 litters totaling 30 kittens in the past 2 weeks, and man on man that made for a real good afternoon

So I'm still into things like model rocketry and my nephews gave me a literally 6' tall rocket I can build and launch. I usually go to a field just down the road from me that also happens to be in my folks back yard. A few years ago I got a rocket stuck in a tree, tried recovering it with a drone, then for the drone stuck (needed to rent a lift for that one), last year I got one stuck in a tree and lost track of it during storm. Anyway, my dad sees this thing and immediately goes "so which tree will this one get stuck in?" My dad rules and I'm glad I got his sense of humor. Anyway that's my father's day story gently caress the cowboys.

He told me the other day he woke up because he heard Buddy barking at something. He says he hears him walking around the house at times, that tap tap tap of his nails on the hardwood. He surprised me by saying he's close to ready for a new dog; he had swore for years Buddy was the last dog they were ever going to have. I guarantee if I got a second dog, within weeks it'd be his. It was a ultimately a good bill since nobody got hurt (doubly so since my dog was the perpetrator of violence), I won’t complain too much. And yes, cats were stupidly friendly except for toward the rescue chicken chicks, the pregnant cats would sleep in the chicken coop friendly as anything, but as soon as the kittens were born the mama cats set on murdering any convenient calorie sources nearby. Gotta love the circle of life!

Wake up this morning, notice it’s hotter than normal. Go check, the A/C isn’t working and it’s 76 inside. Check upstairs in the attic, and yep. Pan is full of water. Grab the shop vac, head upstairs and four full trips later, pan is empty, the pvc drain pipe has 1/4 cup of bleach in it to help prevent clogging, and that sweet sweet A/C is on again. Hell of a way to start the morning, but I’m very thankful that the A/C is up and going again. 😁
