It's weird to me that Brian Moore isn't a hideously reactionary gammon. Based entirely on what he was like as an England player decades ago.

He was a hard player but he seems like a good bloke. He has been open about how he was abused as a child and what he did to eventually overcome the trauma. He also trained as a manicurist so he could work at his wife's nail salon. If only every man was as comfortable with their masculinity as he is.

Years ago when I was between jobs I worked in an Oxfam shop. We used to open bags of clothes in the back and fleas would jump out. Then one day opened a donation bag full of men's trousers and every single pair had been pissed in. God knows what they thought we would do with them. Straight in the bin.

I guess Labour is going for the vote of Cunthorpe Man now.

Again, he's the former DPP. He ran the MI5 ops. He presented his case for leadership based on how many MI5 ops he'd run. Bunch of soft-left morons just didn't listen when he was telling them he was their enemy and would loving ruin them.

There’s a number of reasons for that which I won’t go into because they’re pretty boring but your observation is broadly correct from a sector-wide perspective. Do you have any favourite charity shops, may I ask?

Obviously men wear the same clothes until they disintegrate because you can’t throw that t-shirt out that’s my favourite one it’s only got a couple of holes and women change their outfits every 30 minutes so naturally generate more excess clothing for charity :biotruths:

Just what we have nearby, teeside hospice, redcar has a few on the high street like cancer research and I think maybe an age UK. A YMCA maybe. Honestly I usually just hit whichever ones are around, can't really be picky when they all have so little choice.

To be honest I stopped looking for the most part because it was just pretty dire. I wear clothes other than work clothes so infrequently that it doesn't really matter I guess. You just used to get more interesting stuff in charity shops. I have a selection of coats I got from them, some of which are probably older than me.

I would say personally that it is probably helpful to have the equivalent of a mens/womens section just so I can find what I'm looking for. Also not least cos they're usually sized a bit different.

it me fr fr

I think most of my clothes are verging on 15 years old at this point other than my work ones. Only chuck it out if it's got too many holes in.

As I mentioned earler, we're in month 13 of them not agreeing our pay rise with their own body.

The whole thing is criminal - yeah, it always used to take 6 months, but that was every step, we're on step 5 of 13 and have been for 9+ months.

They finally approved ours, after they realised we'd actually asked for less than the 4.5% in the pay remit because our management didn't think inflation would spik3 last year.

Know I'm a broken record, but I can't grasp the level of stupidity on display.

If I can't afford my heating bill, or my grocery bill, or my rent, or my mortgage, and I used to be able to on my salary: how the gently caress is that caused by the fact that I have too MUCH money, and I need to be paid less?

The cause is obvious: the war in Ukraine causing energy costs to spike and scarcity through various parts of the supply change, and businesses using that spike and scarcity as an excuse to dramatically price gouge. It's not rocket science! Go after the price gougers, not the punters. Mind boggling!
