Secretary Buttigieg has called upon airlines to improve their customer service commitments to passengers, which all have done to varying degrees. The dashboards below provide information for air travelers on airlines’ commitments to families flying with young children and customers experiencing significant flight disruptions due to circumstances within the airline’s control. DOT encourages airlines to continue to strengthen their customer commitments. DOT will update and expand these dashboards as needed.

calling upon, encouraging, to varying degrees, lmao

lmao, just a lovely chart showing what an airline may or may not provide you in the way of recourse.

Also, that "complimentary hotel accommodations for any passenger affected by an overnight cancellation" is why airlines gently caress with "delays" lasting days rather than cancellation.

Interesting image choice.

Almost every single return to office article uses imagery that either infantilizes workers or has very strong slavery/abuse overtones. It's one of the more subtle dystopian things that's just been going unnoticed and unmentioned for the last couple of years.

It doesn't seem like 2020 did much to reinvigorate actual class consciousness among most workers, but capital has definitely stopped pretending that they're not at war.

i think it'd probably depend on the individual. personally, i'm like 25-50% less productive at home since i just end up sleeping until my first meeting or 10am and then usually futzing around my apartment or playing a quick round of something on my steam deck; however, i also live in a tiny rear end 1br apt and my desk is right next to my bed so i don't have a dedicated separate "work vs play/sleep" space. there's no easy on/off switch like being at the office so it also means i'm always kinda "on" until like 11pm at night, just not actually doing much

for most people with bigger spaces, yes probably

Same, but also I'm not more productive in the office.

It won’t be banned in the US just EU like every other terrible food additive. Gee why does the us have so many cases of Crohn’s disease :iiam:

When I go to Europe I feel so much better, less bloating and less symptoms. When I come back I feel like garbage and no we don’t eat junk or have junk food at home. The food in the US is filled with poison.

keep a running list of food additives/ingredients that aren't allowed in the EU. i check it all the time when grocery shopping, it has kept me from buying a few things. buying mostly organic helps, but isn't 100%

I haven't been looking too closely at this mostly because I spend a lot of time/effort cooking from scratch for the most part from staples. This means buying flour and eggs (from our chickens) to make pasta, dry beans, we make our own pesto and tomato sauce and for meat am usually just buying whole chickens or cheap large cuts of beef or pork as they come up on sales etc. Veggies I just buy raw from the store. Other than occasionally drinking Coke Zero we don't bake with any artificial sweeteners and otherwise aren't using a lot of processed stuff that would have concerning stuff in it. I guess I get lazy and buy bread and tortillas.

Anything concerning showing up in the lower end of minimally processed foods to look out for?
