Hmm, not with his style of cricket he wouldn't.

Grinding out 180 in 10 hours is not bazball.

Which is a shame as England would really, really benefit from an anchor player.

He also had has a back problem where he couldn't duck? Which does explain why he got out so often to bouncing fast bowlers so often.
