EDIT: oh but Edinburgh is lovely, as is most of Scotland

I had a wonderful lil house party with friends yesterday where everyone was super accepting of my transition and it felt so nice and wholesome, and then I wake up to this awful, exhausting news, and I think how much that is the trans experience right now in the UK - moments of joy and love interrupted by being a political target
