It's not necessarily crises to produce declining profits, it's more a problem of accumulation. in marx's presentation of it, the point he keeps returning to is

Large capital A of 1,000,000 can produce surplus value at a rate of 5%, to make 5000
Small capital B, with some new technology, different raw input, all the pieces you outlined above, has a profit rate of 25% but can only outlay 1000 to return 250

Since the absolute value of surplus produced by the largest capital will always outweigh the surplus produced by upstart smaller capital, there is a tendency for profit rate to stay lower, until there is a crisis that would force the larger capitalists to adopt the practices of the smaller.

At least in my understanding. All of the processes are intertwined

McDonald's (MCD) reported second quarter results Thursday that beat Wall Street expectations across the board as its "culturally relevant brand and marketing campaigns" powered strong results in the US market, which saw its viral Grimace Shake take off in June.
...
Though the company did not mention its Grimace promotion by name, it said, "Successful restaurant level execution, culturally relevant brand and marketing campaigns and continued digital and delivery growth contributed to strong comparable sales results."

Young consumers, particularly Gen Z, flocked to social media to show themselves drinking the limited-edition purple, berry-flavored milkshake.

It is hard to tell if McDonald's sales and profits up is good or bad without knowing if it is people cost cutting by reducing "fast casual" spending and increasing McDonald's spending. Tunnel vision like that would lead one to say "weapon's sales are through the roof, Ukraine's economy is booming!"

$20 dollars is the cheapest food option for a lot of people now and then you consider how many people live in those insane supply closet sized “micro studio apartments” where they can’t have a stove or heating element so they can’t cook so it’s not surprising “literal garbage that is just enough real good stuff to keep my body limping along” sales are up

McDonald's sales unexpectedly being up does not strike me as inherently good news for the economy. It is at least open to interpretation.
