Hardspace: Shipbreaker is kinda like that other than 'space' and 'spaceships' and you are doing it by hand with your crazy space tools but it is a game I had to quit playing because I was spending way too much time on it.

And their ingredients were a lot more varied in quality, but I'm certain that master painters with decades of experience could mix pigments together just like that and consistently get the result that they wanted. Meanwhile the fresh apprentice would be just as dumbstruck as we are.

My grandfather, who died long before I was born, was a brush maker. Big brushes, little brushes, badger brushes, horse hair brushes, shoe brushes shaped like a hedgehog, trees for the HO scale train set that were just green brushes, any kind of brush for any kind of work. I was deeply disappointed as a child when I learned he didn't brave the local wildlife to get hair to make said brushes. "Don't mind the screaming. That's just our Michael sticking his hand into a badger den again." Local hunters and farmers were his main suppliers, of course.
