I am really confused about this storyline. All the flights were being held for no reason before they found out the radar was out? Apparently no radio contact either (since the guy thought it was clear skies) and nobody thought that was odd? The guy running the place is told to shape up and now there's bulldozers on the runway?! This isn't miscommunication and organization issues, whatever's actually going on here is way too bizarre for anyone to think it's not sabotage. But in that case why is the guy being blamed for the disorder and not for letting them be targeted?

I hope you fall off that branch into a big pile of dogshit.

I agree completely.

On an unrelated note I once backhanded an infant for not having object permanence.

Joking aside, I think what’s actually happening here is that the pikachu doll in bird kid’s lair belongs to one of the human children and now pajama kid is on the fence about whether or not to try and steal it back. Hence the pondering on the nature of theft.

They both do it, as in hindsight the five weeks of Ham and Dregs on Sunday Popeye was pretty bad. Olive and Popeye feels like Shadia wanted to write a story about a team of ghost hunters but couldn't actually sell that anywhere so just bolted it onto an unrelated IP? Just more fuel for my bitter, goofy theories about new artists getting drafted to old IPs.

And Olive as a shitkicker on par with Popeye is great, works well in Thimble itself. Extending the family, giving some love to B and C listers? Sure. But I look back at months of this now and nobody's told a single good Popeye story in half a year. I think we all expected this Olive and Ghosts arc to end with the last feel good strip so continuing it with this clunker... ehhhh.

The joke is pretty simple, but translating it was slightly cumbersome.
"lääkkeeksi vain" = "just for medicinal use"; I haven't heard this before, but I assume it's basically "for health", i.e. a small amount of alcohol to promote good health, that kind of thing.

Yeah, I've mentioned a couple of times that it isn't clear what time period it is. It felt like the 19th century to me, as there wasn't cars or other late technology, but some outfits felt a bit more modern and the 1920s Finnish countryside was still quite underdeveloped, so I couldn't rule that out. Some of the tropes are close to romanticized view of the 19th century outlaws, who were somewhat common subject in the popular culture at the time.

However at the beginning of this current story, there's a text box about bringing Into closer to "our time", which was 1953.

So Dustin is pure poo poo and all but I want to say that at both the tattoo parlors I've been to, the person running the check-in desk is usually an intern/tat artist in training just working check-in in between helping the artists. And they always have piercings or tattoos.

IE the woman chatting with Dustin probably assumes he has full sleeves at the least and they're in healing mode. Otherwise most artists want to show their poo poo off.

I really don't think the artist behind Dustin has even considered that, much less been inside a tattoo parlor to find out.

Dustin is written by Steve Kelley, rightwing boomer piece of poo poo who sneers at anything/everything since approximately 1983* best I can tell, what do you think he knows about modern temp work?

Also I am sad to see someone's finally edited the Dustin wikipedia page away from the truth that one of us wrote back ten-fifteen years ago.
