He will be available for parole in three years. 1.5 if he gets time served which I have zero insight or understanding on that

He was denied time served. 3 years minimum. He'll be what 27 28yo former first round pick. Not terrible odds someone throws a vet minimum deal at him to see if he's still fast.

I may revive the old Video James thread, but for those of you curious about Legend Bowl, make sure you play around with the various default rosters it comes with. Aside from the default one, there’s like 7 others, including a thinly veiled version of the current NFL called “Proset 24”, another called “Old Skool Kool” that’s pretty clearly based on 1985 NFL rosters with some 1985 USFL inspired teams to get it up to 32.

I’m liking this a ton already.

yeah. We are all justifiably cynical as gently caress about the NFL but there's no way they bring the "got drunk, drove 150+ mph, murdered a woman and her dog, and was never even very good at football" guy back. Ray Rice was making pro bowls every year and he was dead to the league as soon as his video leaked.

Ruggs was on pace for 1,100 yards in his second season and looked like he had the makings of a star. I know TFF doesn't actually watch football, but this is dumb even by McMagic standards.

Your gimmick just...isn't fun man. Telling a football forum they don't watch football because they also look at stats is idiotic, and I'll bet a kidney I watch more football than you do. It's also amusing that you're using a stats based argument here.

It is not an unreasonable take to think that Ruggs will not be signed or see the field again if he does get out in 3 years, which is not guaranteed. Sometimes people are messy, Justin Blackmon was on pace (if he had played a full 16 game season) to hit 1600 yards in his second season and never saw the field again if you want to play that game. He didn't kill anyone in a particularly horrible fashion to his credit, he was just unemployable.

If he gets out in 3 years from right now, it would be August of 2026. His last NFL game was October of 21. There's no way, just based on that. Maybe a spring league gives him a chance? But I don't think they have the level of PR that the NFL does to ignore what he did.

I was talking to peachy Peach about kissy Kiss. He bought me a soda.

I watched the Johnny Football Netflix movie last night, and this is not even close to the funniest revelation. He and his buddy 100% made up the story about him coming from Oil Money in order to explain the hundreds of thousands of dollars he was publicly spending. It was just a cover for his multi-million dollar autograph and memorabilia side gig

He was getting like 3 catches a game, he had the makings of being maybe a better Ted Ginn. Which is a respectable nfl career! But not enough to take PR hit on the murder guy after 5+ years away from football.

Whoever said he’ll be kicking around a spring league like current Josh Gordon was dead on imo
