Just a PSA. If you do happen to come across CSAM out in the wild, this is where you can report it: https://report.cybertip.org/ In the US anyway. And look, coming across that kinda poo poo can really, really gently caress you up. There's nothing wrong with just... taking a break from then internet for a bit. Talking to someone if you need to. They list a good few things there as well for dealing with encountering CSAM, it really is some of the worst poo poo you can happen across. What you should -not- do, is pretend you're playing vigilante and claim "it's just research" as you continue to hoover up everything you can find. Noone's believing that.

It's hard to emphasize just how... I dunno, broken most folk I've spoken to that genuinely work on ID-ing victims of CSAM. It just churns through investigators, it's not something they can do for long, nor do they ever really wish to talk about what they've seen. I've certainly never met one that would proudly be displaying loving stills from CSAM media out in the public, just what the actual gently caress.
