We've gotten a slight break from 5 Star Grand Prix action as instead Stardom run a show featuring a bunch of old wrestlers, which is kind of weird but fun. The N-1 is on though, & All Japan begin the Royal Road tournament, plus they have a collaboration show with GLEAT as well with some fun matches. New Japan have a double-header in the old ECW Arena that I've included, with a side note that they are sorted by Japan time because I dunno, when almost all the shows I include are in Japan it makes more sense to be consistent. But technically the ASJF is on Saturday US time & the Impact show is Sunday US time. In case anyone got confused. Dragongate have a big Ota Ward Gym show, SEAdLINNNG celebrate their 8th Anniversary with Nakajima defending her belt against Sareee. Baka Gaijin & Friends are back, well, Drew is still back in the UK as far as I know but the rest of them are there, it'll be daft. And on Friday I included the BJW vs ZERO1 lineup which only me & SG Bamboo will match, & it'll be in 3 months when it gets put on VK, but it looks really fun.

I'm currently watching the first GCW in Japan show & Shane Mercer does some fun stuff but he basically squashes Daisuke Masaoka, former King of FREEDOM champ, before Masaoka manages to pull off a flash pin to get the win. Really didn't work for me. Masaoka takes some sick bumps but I dunno, didn't benefit from being so one sided

If you're curious, the AJPW show from the 12th is pretty skippable. I fell asleep watching Voodoo Murders vs BULK Orchestra which is always a good sign. The main event Royal Road preview tag is fun but very much not essential.

Still have the main event to go but i've enjoyed the matches i've watched so far, it being All Japan I don't watch Yoshitatsu, Black Menso-re or Voodoo Murders matches unless the opponents are crazy good

Also I see that Anzai went 20 minutes with Go in the N-1 which I need to make the time to see, and that Nakajima had a poorly received main event with Saxon Huxley that same show

Just a few thoughts:

I wonder what the ghosts looked like in the Sakaguchi match and for those who scoff at balloons, have you never been tense when you think it's going to pop? It's a horrific thing and his fear is justified.

Steady on. I mean, they were similarly not really draws but Suwama was at least good in the ring & seems to be a really good trainer too based on the calibre of guys who've come out of All Japan in the last few years.

Like, the career highlights of Jeff Jarrett were Puppet pulling a gun on him & him pretending to be an MMA guy & tapping out a bunch of kids. Meanwhile Suwama was half of one of the 2 or 3 best tag teams of the 2010s, just wish he'd accept that he's cooked as a top guy now.

It isn't even that he squashed Abe. I like the idea of the occasional super short win because it keeps things shook up, but he didn't pin him with a school boy or off a gnarly backdrop suplex, he did a dropkick! Oh dear.

Thank you again for the amount of effort you put into the schedule each week forkboy, for my money they're the most useful posts on the board

Corgis love bread. And Puro

Within 20 minutes of me updating the matches for the rest of the week I look on Twitter & see a tweet from FREEDOMS That one of the Brahman Brothers is out of their match on the 28th, replaced by Kuishinbo Kamen. Kei to be exact. And that match is now described as "Ah, Tokyo Desert Homeless Man on the verge of going out of business Deathmatch". Which is probably Google translate doing a bad job but makes a satisfying lack of sense.

Would you be my new best friends?

Now if it was a DDT match, it would make perfect sense.

Checking in on the N-1 I see Inamura is on zero points with only one match left, that beefy lad needs to get the gently caress out of NOAH before he goes the way of Okada and Yano
