Like has NASA been way too entrenched in the military and military industrial complex to move more efficiently on getting space exploration done?

NASA's budget is too limited to do extensive LEO and not LEO cool poo poo so they wanted to offload the getting to LEO part to the private sector because simply appreciably raising NASA's budget by percentage of total spending will apparently never happen.

NASA's budget has basically stayed flat since 1958 in constant dollars which equates to huge cuts.

"No, I'm saying it's $10,000 per dressing room. . .so pick one" When we went to load in the next show, they had a dressing room completely gutted, ceiling tiles out, all the furniture was out, carpet was out, poo poo off the walls, and there was a guy in there painting. Funny (to me) is that it was the same dressing room Mayor Turner had just been using earlier in the season.

No I don't think so, those two are the only ones I've seen confirmed. ALso it would be bizarre as hell to fire just those two, they are two of the best reporters on staff. McCullough has been covering the Texas prisons AC problems for like 3 years at this point. It may be that they have too much seniority, and therefore too much salary, and the dark secret of the Tribune is they've always leaned on fresh-outta-J-school reporters to keep labor costs down. I wonder how much of a cost outlay their access journo dicksucking tribfest is

It just kinda rubs me the wrong way being down here in the RGV when we've been having 109+ days for the past two months on top of the normal humidity here making the heat index even higher. And now it's only something to pay attention to because the elderly whites in the Midwest are getting a bit warm.

The circumstances that led to a grid collapse in 2021 were unique. Half of the state's electric generation capacity disappeared over a period of a few hours. This is not something that is contemplable during the summer. Also maybe we should be investigating whether or not gas suppliers artificially cut supply to drive up prices, as both KS and OK are doing as we speak, but then we might get to the actual source of the problem and since the actual source of the problem accounts for a good portion of the state economy and political donations, I wouldn't bet on it. zoux fucked around with this message at 14:19 on Aug 24, 2023 |
