Yeah, those feel like they are written for and by people who cheated.

Yeah, prepping for Cisco exams feels like you should invest at least some time in learning ways people cheat now, because gently caress.

To me, with all of this poo poo the in wild with terrible exams that don't actually measure my skills... It sounds like they almost want you to cheat.

Yeah it's like, 'Hey you will be locked out of any and all future certs if you get caught using these dumps at all' and then somehow ??? it's fine to put your name and CC number into something where you're buying a cert dump. Okay sure. I mean certainly some of them are likely legit but. Seems like a good way to enforce a policy as well as extracting money from a person before doing it. Maybe it's even common for them to not pop the individual for it until after they take the test, for extra money? Who the hell knows, it's all a bunch of gooey grey in that industry.

Is it multiple choice test? I don't know about you but to say someone cheated simply because they completed a test too quickly and too accurately sounds like a big stretch. In an effort to steer us back on track: Has anyone tried their hand at Databricks certs? I am looking at the Data Engineer Associate, or the Spark Developer. The downside to both is that I don't use them at my current job and spinning up clusters can get very expensive very quickly, so I have to practice on small datasets with single nodes.

My manager wants me to go for my CCNA and said they'll cover the cost of study materials and most likely the cert itself. So that's pretty sweet. With that in mind, is the course offered through Cisco with the labs the best way to go about prepping for it, or is there another preferred course/study material?

I’ve heard good things about “Jeremy’s IT Lab”. I think he has a paid course but I believe all the material is free on YouTube as well. There might be some benefits to the free one but I haven’t looked into it. Most people seem to do his course (or similar) along with a book or study guide.

Has anyone taken the MS-721 exam? Specifically are the labs and resources on MS website accurate, or do you have to read the mind of the test writer like Cisco

I took Az-104 tonight and passed with a 736. They have the open book feature implemented already, I was surprised. It might have helped? They must have gimped their search or taken out a bunch of articles but it was maybe more trouble than it was worth, because I'm sure the questions got harder. I had to read a lot of ARM templates and either pick correct part of a element or interpret them. I didn't focus on those too much when studying, because I don't generally code things I can't try or look at all the functions(). They started with a case first, which isn't how I remembered it going down in Mar 2022 when I took this last.

|
# ? Aug 29, 2023 19:58 |
Yeah it's a chrome browser on the side that you can drag to resize. This gets kind of unwieldy though since the questions often have the entire environment listed and there might be 3 things you have to answer and one could be pushed down out of sight if you're not careful. It's not a tab, I wish it was a tab. Edit: Watched the vid and yep, it looked like that. skooma512 fucked around with this message at 20:08 on Aug 29, 2023 |
