I honestly am in the minority. I don't understand the Najee fading whatsoever. It feels like a "way too easy" pick to make - snatching Najee where he's going.

It's why auction drafting is all about catching the pendulum players that swing too far away from regression toward the mean. Give me all the shares of Najee, Pitts, Ridley, some rookie RBs, and oh what's that? I still have enough money to overpay for JJeff and ASRB? Thanks, abnormal market trends!

I did the inverse this year. My brother-in-law invited me to join their league where it's mostly casuals, and he runs the league and did a draft slot lotto thing where you got to pick your slot. Long story short, I ended up 1 slot in front of him and sniped a guy I knew he coveted (Bijan) in round one.

~^^^^*WHOA*^^^^~

My league is 75% very experienced try hard fantasy managers (my self included) and I luckily got 5th and the guy who puts the most effort into it got 6th and is also very expressive and reactive and fun to mess with in general. It was great fun sniping players from him to hear audible groans. He only got me once. I really wanted Evan Engram dammit!

Also we pick slots via drinking game. Where we have 36 coors lights numbered and the bottom. Everyone chugs a beer and checks the number. If you like it you can stay. If you don't you can chug again for a new number. A timer starts when someone finishes and if you don't finish that round I'm time you are stuck with the number. After everyone is done chugging or everyone is happy with the number they got we see what the order is lowest number on can to highest

I've not heard of a better way to select draft order but curious other fun ways yall do it beyond names in a hat

Yahoo gave me a league award claiming my team is expected to earn the most points over the season :madmax:

BML - League Settings - Auction - $200 budget, 0.5 PPR, 12 teams:

Bit more points for passing TDs, bit bigger penalties for interceptions and fumbles.

Team:
  • QB: Jalen Hurts ($32)
  • WR: Cooper Kupp ($50)
  • WR: DeAndre Hopkins ($10)
  • RB: Austin Ekeler ($57)
  • RB: James Conner ($16)
  • TE: Kyle Pitts ($8)
  • W/T: Rashod Batemen (WR) ($1)
  • W/R/T: Alexander Mattison (RB) ($16)

  • Bench: Treylon Burks (WR)
  • Bench: Samaje Perine (RB)
  • Bench: Allen Lazard (WR)
  • Bench: Donovan Peoples-Jones (WR)
  • Bench: Deon Jackson (RB)

  • IR: Jeff Wilson Jr (RB)

Evaluation: I compared the yahoo $ values with 1) THE RINGER and 2) the Football Absurdity Draft Sheet. Those two sources had significantly different $values for some players. So my approach was basically to go after players which had yahoo $values lower than both Ringer and FA. All my starters were drafted at $values substantively lower than the FA $values and lower or equal to the RINGER $values.

I'm pretty stoked on the alleged discount I got for Hurts, Conner, and Mattison.

Whachu think friends? Stand pat until after week 1? Or try and pick up a high upside WR lottery ticket?

What WRs are available at this point? I like your team, I'm just curious.

I’ve never played with it but I think you get or lose points if that coach’s real team wins or loses. And you can also add a bonus for margin of victory. Basically “I think this team will be good this year”.

I saw a guy saying his league has coaches but with all scoring set to 0 so it’s just for memes which I kind of love.

I don’t think we have enough info. Fantasy Twitter is freaking the gently caress out., as it does. If he’s truly “day to day” and misses zero to one games then you got a bargain. If McVay is full of poo poo and he’s gonna miss a month or more then that’s a long time to be without your first pick.

kiimo
Jul 24, 2003

I have both and love both but I was a lot higher on Rice before he had like four or five drops in his last preseason game. But the fact that he had the opportunity for four drops kind of shows he's getting open a lot.

But rookies in a Reid offense rarely if ever flourish. Maybe Rice turns into Davante Adams who also had the dropsies early in his career?

So are we stashing Deuce Vaughn before Week 1 to see what happens? The Cowboys only kept 3 RBs and a FB on the roster and we already know Rico Dowdle is just a replacement-level player. It would be really funny to complement Pollard with Vaughn but I do believe they intend to actually use him.
