My parents got dropped by their home insurance after decades of no claims. Seems the other insurance companies won't touch them unless they get a new roof, but their roof is only 10 years old and in fine condition. I hear it's 1000$ per 10x10ft these days too. Obviously drones or aerial shots. And now the industry can collude to force a major expense on them and it seems there's nothing they can do about it. Capture and extract. And they wonder why I don't want health insurance kids or a house. Don't get me wrong I'm gonna help them powerwash the roof (and clear up ladders and pop-up tents and such around , which is apparently also an offense), but from my understanding that won't even matter.
