Yeah go on then. bsky-social-63zsx-irmlp bsky-social-4vjeh-y4x72 I previously posted 5 codes in a twitter post, they all got taken - two of them by people I know in real life, and not a single person said "cheers". Ingrates. Anyway, maybe someone has already posted, but does anybody know what the most/a fairly efficient way to donate to Palestinian aid is? Red Cross? MSF? Something else?

That's not to say you shouldn't go with them - they do great work all over the place and I assume most of their recent donations will go towards Gaza stuff seeing as it's pretty big atm. Your other good options afaik are Red Crescent and PCRF (palestinian's children relief fund) e: UNRWA is also a good shout, thanks for remining me Jaeluni

Oxfam get a lot of stick (hint: it’s because they’re outspokenly against the causes of poverty, not just the symptoms, and although they can’t be party political you’d be hard pressed to find anyone on the campaign staff who isn’t some flavour of socialist) but they’re actually one of the most efficient charities in the sector, with 84% of all donations going to development, emergency aid or campaigning (10% support costs, the much feted ‘admin’) and 8% on fundraising. They direct all sanitation response globally, heading up the UN WASH cluster, and have been in Gaza for a long time so now how things work. Looking at the website they’re also explicitly calling Israel’s response disproportionate, which is nice. Yes, I did used to work for them, why do you ask? No, I didn’t work in Haiti, before one of you cheeky bastards cracks that joke.
