It’s not America but the Toronto area has about half a dozen big malls. They just lost recently Nordstrom as an anchor store in a few of them but other than the general internet onslaught they still seem to be doing ok. The few I’ve been in recently seem to almost full of stores and the security problem the US has hasn’t hit here as far as I can tell. Probably the most successful is called Yorkdale which has a long history going back to when it opened in the mid 1960s. It is now quite high end having tiffany and cartier etc. Last time I was there it was fairly crowded and bustling.

There was also an attempted carjacking by “youths” in the parking lot.

There were lots of black people at the malls I used to go to as a teenager  Many were my friends.
What a weird observation. Like the other guy said, sure, I guess it had nothing to do with Amazon, video games being brought into the home, movie theaters expanding into larger buildings, streaming, or poo poo like Orange Julius, Spencer Gifts, CD Warehouse, photo booths, Sunglass Hut, Zbarro, EB Games and Yankee Candle becoming tired and obsolete once people realized none of those things were providing a valuable service. Must be the hoards of angry black people and all the terrorist attacks.
The only "malls" that exist anymore are in airports and that's only because they have a captive, hungry and largely bored audience who are looking for something to do and may have forgotten to pack something they need.

Trump is always worried about his image. He doesn't want to say he wants the job, and then lose the vote. The point is this: If there is a movement to elect Trump Speaker, it exposes all of the RINOs, since they would be voting against the party leader. Then they can get primaried, and hopefully, Trump endorses their opponents. As president, Trump needs loyal members of Congress from his party, not those seeking to undermine the MAGA agenda.
