oh... it's EBV. the Pax I took DID send all the covid symptoms into remission right away within day 1 and they haven't been back really; head felt like a million bucks again after that first night. This horrid sore throat and tonsils is just what my body feels like without T cells. because of EBV. i think it makes sense. i've always had much-weaker bouts of this throat symptom from persistent EBV since childhood. this time, as soon as COVID hit, my first symptom was tonsillitis again now with nothing holding that back. guess i have no T cells i can see why this makes ME/CFS worse another fun thing: on day 1 (only) of this, my what I guess is POTS went crazier than usual. resting heart rate 80 instead of 60; propping up in bed brought it to 100; shambling around weakly, and sitting back down, made it hit an aerobic 129bpm at some point.

Got some moth juice at Costco today. Pharmacist said that they were only going to do Noxavax on Fridays, because they had a limited supply of 5 dose vials, but they got some extras in last night, so we got lucky to have our appointments honored. $140 each with Costco membership, and I get to try getting reimbursement from Kaiser. 8 hours in, and no real side effects. Arm is sore like a lite punch. The back of my foot hurts, but I doubt that's the vaccine. Afair, bad stuff started around hours 8-12 with the mRNA shots. It's weird how every other vax does basically nothing to me, but the COVID ones give me 24 hours of kick-my-rear end flu symptoms. Flu, Tdap, chicken pox, hepatitis, pneumonia, and MMR were all just some injection site soreness.

Not loving these stories of Kaiser not covering Novavax. I guess I'll still show up for my appointment at Rite-Aid tomorrow but at this point I'm assuming I'll end up leaving and rescheduling one Kaiser pulls its head out of its rear end.

my experience with expensive prescriptions is bizarre. I was on an injection that cost 140 per 90 days. insurance said sorry, now you have to use this gel that’s 400 for 90 days. this is 10 years after they made me switch from the gel to the injection. I’m thinking they just hope I don’t want to pay the deductible. jokes on you I meat my max oop every year

The only thing I do, that you don't, is sterilising food/goods that come into the house using UVC and ozone. Honestly though I'm not sure how much it helps, but hey, I'm set up to do it so I'll keep it up.

well nope i'm still testing positive, so it is the COVID that's doing this poo poo to me still, so i guess the pax didn't just straight up clear it all out already like it erased the fever and headache right away. although i still wonder if the severe throat is something that only happens to prior EBV+ people this time the T line showed up after and lighter than the C

None of mine are quite that much individually, but I'd be paying four figures every month if I were paying sticker price. I needed a pre-auth for one of them, but that was it. Took a few days to come in (and loving if they pull that poo poo with Paxlovid), but that's been it. I've gotten hosed with way more on covering medical procedures with my insurance plan than I have on prescriptions. Kreeblah has issued a correction as of 08:43 on Oct 19, 2023 |
