I've always thought crossovers looked better lowered, but I think that's more indicative of their original proportions.

A perfect example of why you shouldn't destroy a vehicle by slamming it. It would be so pretty if it had a normal stance.

The roll centers are already sorta weird at stock ride height on all the Alfa 105 chassis, with it lowered that much it must be trying to turn the chassis into a pretzel in every corner

Hadlock posted:Tell me you have a compact pickup with a carolina squat, without telling me you have a compact pickup with a carolina squat I've gotten comments about the California rake of my half-ton Dodge. "Looks cool, man!" "It sits level with a trailer behind it!" "Oh. Though you were doing something." "I am." What, you thought I spent $200 on coil-helper rear shocks and another $100 on Timbren bumpstops to look cool? I just wanted it to work as best as it could. Does kinda look good though. TCS: The tailgate latch broke the other day, making me rethink the two inch lift due to fancy shocks. Getting that 100lb steel desk out of it took some doing.

Scratch Monkey posted:Any car you can’t actually drive over a normal road without immediately hitting the bump stops sucks I mean, that's fair. I agree that a car you can't drive safely is dumb (see: brotruck.) Still looks bad rear end, though. At one point my Cutlass was a bit too low in the front - about 3" under the front crossmember - and I hated driving it that way because it would slam said crossmember into the ground constantly. This was entirely the fault of Edelbrock for speccing those springs for "small-block" A-bodies while failing to recognize not all "small-block" GM V8s weighed the same, and failing to recognize that optional equipment like AC added a not-insignificant amount of weight to the front end. I eventually swapped them out for Hotchkiss springs that were properly spec'd. Still using the Edelbrock springs in the rear, though. Those were fine.

Speaking of horrible lights, the Cybertruck has brake lights that go off when breaking, contrary to decades of automotive practice. Why? Who the gently caress knows, it's Tesla.
